Left Hand

The left hand is JUST as important as the right in obtaining a good sound. These exercises are from the classi-
cal tradition and work on strengthening each individual finger.

Exercise 3
Left Hand Hammer-ons
Play with the bow. Start very slow, building up speed gradually and make sure the thumb is not too tight on the
neck. Play in different positions around the neck. For the electric bass players, look at Exercises 3.3 and 3.4.
