SOME COMMON IDIOMS (MỘT SỐ THÀNH NGỮ THÔNG DỤNG)

- burn the midnight oil (to work late into the night): thức khuya để làm việc/nghiên cứu
- take into account (to consider something when judging a situation): xem xét
- break the bank (to cost too much): tốn kém quá nhiều
- once in a blue moon (not very often, rarely): không thường xuyên, hiếm khi
- over the moon (to be very pleased): rất vui/hài lòng
- out of this world (extremely good): cục kì tốt/tuyệt
- rain cats and dogs (to rain very heavily): mưa to/nặng hạt
- a piece of cake (something that is very easy to do): dễ làm
- go bananas (to become extremely angry or excited): trở nên cực kì giận dữ/phấn khích
- cup of tea (what somebody likes or is interested in): cái gì đó thích/quan tâm
