Additions: Auto Power Off
 The CP4/40 STAGE features the Auto Power Off function.
 Default setting: 30 minutes
 How to change the setting:
- Press the [UTILITY] button and select the “01: General”.
- Select “AutoOff” and set the value.
- Press the [STORE] button to end.

 Disabling Auto Power Off (simple method):

 NOTE:
 The power switch is a lock type switch.
 To turn the power on after the Auto Power Off is executed:
1. Press the power switch to the OFF (Standby) position.
2. Press the power switch again to the ON position.

Checking the settings
 Data backup procedure

1. Prepare: A compatible USB flash memory device


Connect the USB flash memory to the [TO DEVICE] terminal.

2. Call up the save display:


- Press the [FILE] button.
- Select the “01: Save” and then press the [ENTER] button.

3.
3. Set the file name:
- Set the file name and then press the [ENTER] button.

4. Execute: Press the [+1/Yes] button.

 Initializing the settings (There are 2 ways.)
A. Normal mode
1. Call up the Factory Set display:
Press the [UTILITY] button, select the “07: JOB” and “01: FactorySet”.
2. Set the “PowerON Auto” parameter to “off”.

3. Execute: Press the [+1/Yes] button. 2.

B. Test mode
1. Enter the Test Program
2. Select the “042 Factory Set”
3. Execute: Press the [ENTER] button.

 Firmware version update
1. Preparation:
- Check the Firmware version:
Press the [UTILITY] button.
Select the “07: JOB” and “02: Version”.

- Download the Firmware Updater:


1. Download the latest Firmware Updater from Yamaha
website.
2. Copy the program file (xxx.PRG) to a compatible USB flash
memory device.
!No other files should be present in the USB flash memory!

 Firmware version update

2. Enter the update mode:


- Connect the USB flash memory to the [TO DEVICE] terminal.
- Hold down the [ ] (play) button, then press the power on.

3. Execute: Press the [ ] (play) button.

4. Reboot:
- Turn off the instrument and remove the USB flash memory.
- Turn the power on and confirm the Firmware version.
