III. VENUE : Starting line at the Tibiao Municipal Plaza to Malabor Race
Track back to Municipal Plaza
IV. Target Participants : All neighboring towns of Barbaza, Laua-an, Culasi and Sebaste
V. RATIONALE
The present pandemic has wrecked havoc not just in our society in general but
in our families in particular. Apathy and the lack of socio-cultural and psychophysical
activities due to the dangers posed by the pandemic have threatened the very fabric of
our society which is the family. As the cases subsided due to the successful campaigns
and programs of our local government it is but apt and logical under the present
circumstances that social activities that stimulate the physical and mental aspects of our
youths be resumed in a controlled manner. Cycling is one good form of mental and
physical exercise. We must take this rare opportunity and join the momentum as this
form of activity is being explored enthusiastically by our youths. This must be developed
and pursued further by our local government as it indisputably carry off our youths from
the antisocial threat of mobile internet and online games.
III. OBJECTIVES:
1. To improve the mental and physical well-being of our youths
2. To develop the sense of camaraderie
3. To explore cycling as a form of hobby and sports
4. To develop the social skills of our youths despite the threat of the pandemic
VI. CATEGORIES : Beginners
Advance
Elite
BMX
VII. GUIDELINES, MECHANICS AND RULES:
1. All participants must be duly registered by the organizers both online and on-
site. Those unregistered are NOT ALLOWED to join and must be expelled by the
ride marshalls.
2. The race is open to Tibiaoanon and invited cyclist from neighboring towns of
Barbaza, Laua-an, Culasi and Sebaste
3. The master list must indicate the the name, age, and address, next of kin and
contact number of bikers.
4. Minors aged 16 and 17 must present a parent’s consent and birth certificate
5. A waiver of liability of the organizers must be signed by all participants and/or
parents in the case of minors
6. Each participant must be given a number badge that signifies his entry.
7. Two routes are prepared to prevent overcrowding of participants and to
encourage social distancing
8. Only participants with complete bike safety gears are allowed to join.
9. All participants are expected to be both physically and mentally fit to join the
activity
10. All participants must abide by the established basic biking safety protocols on
the road
11. A temperature check must be undergone by each participant
12. Each participant must be given a form that indicates their travel and health
history for the past two weeks. A record of their temperature must also be
indicated therein.
VIII. RACE PLAN
1. Beginners:
a) Open to either male or female
b) Must be 16-21 years old
c) Maximum of six contestants per set.
d) Starting line at the Tibiao Municipal plaza to proceed to Malabor Race Track,
make loops and turn back towards the Finish Line (same as the Starting Line)
e) First three winners of every set will be qualified to semi final round.
f) Number of the finalists may depend on the number of sets in semifinal
round.
2. Advance
a) Open to male contestants only.
b) Must be 22-25 years old
c) Maximum of six contestants per set.
d) Starting line at the Tibiao Municipal plaza to proceed to Malabor Race Track,
make loops and turn back towards the Finish Line (same as the Starting Line)
e) First three winners of every set will be qualified to semi final round.
f) Number of the finalists may depend on the number of sets in semi final
round.
3. Elite
a) Open to male contestants only.
b) Must be 16 years old and above
c) Maximum of six contestants per set.
d) Starting line at the Tibiao Municipal plaza to proceed to Malabor Race Track,
make loops and turn back towards the Finish Line (same as the Starting Line)
e) First three winners of every set will be qualified to semi final round.
f) Number of the finalists may depend on the number of sets in semi final
round.
4. BMX
a) Open to male contestants only.
b) Must be 16 years old and above
c) Maximum of six contestants per set.
d) Starting line at the Tibiao Municipal plaza to proceed to Malabor Race Track, make
loops and turn back towards the Finish Line (same as the Starting Line)
e) First three winners of every set will be qualified to semi final round.
f) Number of the finalists may depend on the number of sets in semi final round.
IX. PROPOSED MEASURES TO COMPLY WITH THE MINIMUM HEALTH AND SAFETY
PROTOCOLS
1. All participants are duly registered and can be easily identified when necessary. A
logbook will be provided.
2. All participants must wear their masks when stationary.
3. Temperature checks are mandated
4. Handwashing area will be provided in the Starting Line (Plaza) and in the race trace.
5. Alcohol/sanitizers will be provided
6. Health manifest forms will be given each participant for better contact tracing when
required. It would indicate their name, age, address, body temperature, history of
recent travel and exposure to someone coming from outside Tibiao. Those with flu-like
symptoms and with elevated body temperature will be properly dealt with and the local
health authority will be properly informed.
7. Organizers, its support staff and audience will be properly informed of the need for
social distancing and mandatory wearing of mask when in the vicinity.
8. A liaison officer will be specifically designated to communicate with the local iATF when
necessary.
9. In the race track, the audience will be situated in such a manner that social distancing is
properly observed. Barangay Tanods, PNP and MDRRMC personnels will be requested to
impose order and safety measures in the race track and during the fun ride.
10. One Entry One Exit Policy will be imposed in the race track.
11. Support teams and audience from other towns will be specifically situated in the area
so that unnecessary interactions with the Tibiaoanons are discouraged
