and inspected. Obtain proper test equipment for testing heat and infrared fire detectors.

No.3 generator tripped on overload during departure from Jacksonville. Pilot onboard
5 10-Nov-15 Jacksonville insisted vessel re-berth. Vessel was berthed, USCG carried out inspection and found all 50
satisfactory. Deficiency imposed is that NO.3 generator must be verified operating to
class satisfactory. Report to be ssubmitted within 30 days.
The machinery boilers and piping systems and fittings shall be of a design and
construction adequate for the service for which they are intended and shall be so
installed and protected as to reduce to a minimum any dangers to persons on board,

due regard being paid to moving parts, hot surfaces and other hazards. Saltwater inlet
pipe on #1 cooler and saltwater outlet pipe on #2 cooler had welded and patched
repairs.
The machinery…shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service…and
