Course Title NSTP - CWTS
Course Description Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) is one of the three program components of the National Training
Service (NSTP-RA 9163). The two other programs are Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and
Literacy Training. CWTS aims to develop the youth’s sense of responsibility, duty and commitment as
well as the necessary skills to render voluntary service for the betterment of the community, and
subsequently, of the nation. CWTS’ learning activities and experience of rendering civic service are
expected to enhance the youth’s four-fold nature as man, i./e., intellectual, physical, moral/spiritual, and
social.

Performance Indicators (Rubrics)
Your work will be graded according to the following criteria:
Grade: 1.0 (Excellent)
A piece of work should fall within this class if:
a. It displays an ability to analyze and answer questions with completeness and authority. A high level of comprehension is
present. The marker should have an overall impression that a higher overall standard could be achieved; or
b. The student has produced and original and incisive piece of work that shows a high level of scholarship; or
c. The work contains elements of both (a) and (b) above in such a way to indicate that the work is deserving of the highest
grade.
Grade:1.25 (Good Pass)
A piece of work in this category should display a high level of competence, having regard in particular to the points specified
above.
Grade : 1.5 (Competent Pass)
A piece of course work in this grade should display overall competence; however, it lacks analytical depth and, or display a
limited comprehensive of the subject matter so that the work falls short of a good pass grade. A good deal of the relevant content
may have been presented by the student but this is with less well articulated and developed.
Grade: 1.75 (Bare Pass)

Work will fall into this category if contains relevant materials in relation to the issues raised by the problem/question. The work
is presented in a coherent and largely correct manner although the analytical aspects and comprehension is at limited nature.
