Presentation
We are a duo of very different twins living in Portugal. Mariana comes up with
the design, and Mónica turns it into a crochet project. Crochet is a world of
possibilities.

Materials
If done with the suggested yarn, the wallet is about 12 cm (4,7 inches) wide and
7 cm (4,7 inches) tall, just the perfect size for keeping cards. You can use any
yarn for this project, just keep in mind that that will affect the size.
The materials you need are:
• Fine/ sport weight yarn (size 2)*
• 3 mm crochet hook (D=3,125mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Button with 11mm diameter (size must be adjusted depending on the yarn
used)
* We used Rainbow Cotton 8/4 by Hobbii (100% cotton), which has 170 m (186
yds) by 50 gr (1.8 oz)
Color Scheme
One Color edging
10 gr White for the front and back panel
5* gr Red for part of the heart and edging
5* gr Blue for the stamp
5* gr Pink for the edging
Two Color edging
10 gr White for the front and back panel
5* gr Red for part of the heart and edging
5* gr Blue for the stamp and edging
* We considered 5 gr as the minimum weight, as considering 1 or 2 gr would be
too hard.

Triangle start with white
When working the triangle piece, odd rows will be facing front and even rows will
be facing the back of the piece. Please keep that in mind when hiding the yarn.
When working the heart, you could always hide the yarn, but when working
with white and red, or other contrasting colours, the yarn could be visible
underneath thestitches. So we have detailed information for each line on
when to hide either the white or red yarn under the constrasting colour stitches.
How the heart is constructed

From now on, we’ll be alternating between white and red.
For rows 6 and 7, carry the white under the red sc. Carry the red under the 2
middle white sc, and leave it hanging for the next row after the last red sc.

For row 8, carry the white under the red sc. Don’t carry the red under the
white, but peek it up on the last loop of thelast white dec, since row 9 is
worked only in red.

Edging
Before working the edging, we recommend blocking the pieces. You can iron
them instead, depending on the material you’re using. We did so since we used
cotton (Image 20).
Place the pieces with the right side out, so the lines created by the crochet
match perfectly (Images 20 and 21).
You can either do the whole edging with the same colour, or switch it side by
side.
Start with the left corner, working 2 sc in each stripe formed by two sc rows (Image 22).

Now unite the back piece with the triangle from the front.

Cut the yarn and hide the tail (Images 29 and 30).
Sew the button. We used one with 11mm diameter (Image 31).
