The Rebound

When to do it: before warm up

Step1:
Once you saw the explanatory video, sit on your stool with the practice pad in front of you, heavy
sticks (like alluminium sticks), and do the following:

-60 seconds right hand, French grip, open hand Free Stroke
-60 seconds left hand, French grip, open hand Free Stroke
-60 seconds unison hands, French grip, open hand Free Stroke

FOCUS:
-Stay synchronized to the rebound
-Make the stick vibrate as much as possible
-Grab the stick as late as possible

Step 2:
Once this is done, the following:

-60 seconds right hand, French grip, closed hand Free Stroke
-60 seconds left hand, French grip, closed hand Free Stroke
-60 seconds unison hands, French grip, closed hand Free Stroke

FOCUS:
-Keep the same feeling that you had with the open hand
-Follow the rebound
-Don’t feel the weight of the stick

Step 3:
Then, speed up the motions and do the following:

-60 seconds right hand, French grip, wrist motion Free Stroke
-60 seconds left hand, French grip, wrist motion Free Stroke
-60 seconds unison hands, French grip, wrist motion Free Stroke
FOCUS:
-Keep the same feeling that you had with the open and closed hand
-Follow the rebound
-Don’t feel the weight of the stick

Step 4:
In the end, speed up the motions even more and do the following:

-60 seconds right hand, French grip, finger motion Free Stroke
-60 seconds left hand, French grip, finger motion Free Stroke
-60 seconds unison hands, French grip, finger motion Free Stroke

FOCUS:
-Keep the same feeling that you had with the wrist motion
-Follow the rebound
-Don’t feel the weight of the stick

-Repeat everything with your regular sticks


-Apply this to all the grips and techniques you use or you know
