Listening Section
In this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken English. There are 4 parts to
this section, with special directions for each part.

Part I. Pictures
For each question there is a picture and four statement about it, these statements will be spoken twice but are not written out
in your test book. So, you must listen carefully, you must choose one statement that best describe about the picture.
Example:
Look at the picture, and listen for the four statements
A. The girl is wearing a t shirt C. The girl looks unhappy
B. The girl has curly hair D. The girl is holding something

Part II. Questions – Responses


You will hear several questions spoken in English followed by three responses also spoken in English the question and the
responses will be spoken twice, but are not written out in your test book. So, you must listen carefully, to understand what
speaker are saying. You have to choose the best response to each question.
Example:
You will hear: Man : Where can I pick up my tickets?
You will also hear: Woman : A. Thursday morning if that’s convenient
B. At the overseas travel desk
C. I think it’s 9 o’clock

Part III. Short Conversations


You will hear several short conversations; you will hear the conversation twice followed by question. But are not written out in
your test book. So, you must listen carefully, to understand what speaker are saying. You will read four possible answer and
you have to choose the best answer to each question.
Example: You will hear:
Man : Are you a student here?
Woman : Yes sir
Man : Where is the English class?
Woman : Next to the laboratory
Where does the dialog probably take place?
You will read: A. At the hospital B. At the station C. At the market D. In the school

9. What time is it?


A. Two o’clock B. Ten minutes past two C. Three o’clock D. Three fifty

10. What are they talking about?


A. The opponent’s football team. B. A ball. C. A football match. D. Their team’s loss.

11. What is the man ordering?


A. A napkin. B. A glass of water. C. Room equipment. D. A chicken sandwich.

12. What does the woman prefer to do?


A. Going to the fair. B. Staying at home. C. Living in a windy town. D. Going out for dinner.

Part IV. Short Talks


You will hear several short talks; you will hear the talk twice followed by question. But are not written out in your test book.
So, you must listen carefully, to understand what speaker are saying. You will read four possible answer and you have to
choose the best answer to each question.
