The article titled "The New Normal In Basic Education" by Jenny Ann A Pimentel -Tibon published by
ACCRALAW, this article tackles about the challenges and adjustments due to the Pandemic that all of us
experienced and that is COVID-19.The author main point in this article is how teachers and student will
adopt in new normal where learners and students need to adopt in the technology in order to ensure
and have a good quality of education through the learners. The article also tackles about ensuring
students to access quality education even those who wages below minimum or family comes from low-
income families and reminding about the roles of the government and other private sector in providing
a support in education sector. The overall topic in this article is that telling people about the current
state of education in the Philippines and the possible challenges and opportunities this new normal
may brought . I agree with the authors idea in his article because due to this pandemic it is our best
option or best way to adopt in this way wee can ensure ,deliver and provide a good quality of education.
Plus its advantage is the student have a lot of time in order to study the lesson and to review before
passing.
Due to the corona virus diseases and its highly infectious characteristic it bring great impact not
just in our economy but also in our education not just in our country but around the world we all know
that our country is behind when it comes to technology so it is very challenging for our country to adopt
in this situation but through the hard work of our government we have an option in order to resume
and to have a good quality of education even we are under a pandemic or lockdown.Then due to this
pandemic almost all of schools are closed except for the places were covid rate are small but almost all.
Plus this article explain about the possible option in order to cope up with this pandemic this include
online classes,printouts ,and lessons via TV and social media platforms even though lot of students
would prefer face to face classes in that way the learning will be improved because there are instances
that a student doesn't have parents to teach them but still due to this oandemic they have to adapt to
online educatio as alternative learning online classes will continus and schools remain close even some
of the outputs in online need internet access then Chester Yacub and Dr pauline Eadie on 18th of
February 2022(new mandala) because of longest And strict lockdowns in the world due to pandemic
restrictions 27 million children have been out of school the DepEd only allows 100 public schools to take
part of on its pilot run face to face classes in November 2021 and only 5,000 student went back to
physical classroom even this issue is very hot DepEd secretary Leonor Briones encourage education
experts and other stakeholders to join up on designing future learning spaces with the Theme "to think
education and shape the future "plus leonor added that education must continue under the health
protocols set by the (DOH)and (WHO) at the Inter Agency Task force for the management of emerging
infectious diseases approved by the BE-LCP to ensure the learning progress among students even the
absence of face to face learning To provide quality learning even tho we are in the middle of crisis and
pandemic so this evidences proved that we don't have any choice but to adapt with the different
learning delivery modalities.
We are living in the world where it's changing before our eyes can see .The pandemic changed the
education system all around the world drastically there are learning modalities that is present before
the pandemic like online learning but it gained importance and popularity during the covid. Online
learning is the new normal now and it will continue even after everything opens up.The 21st century
present challenging yet oppurtunistics era plus the term new normal is an indication where we can see
the future look nothing like the present the only way for an individual to suceed in such a world is to
nurture their skills and capabilities and be adaptable in the change cause according to a famous saying
that states nothing is permanent except change .New Normal is very challenging way of learning in
previous year it is not easy because other student don't have capability to have internet connection,
slow learner in a way they need teacher to guide them beacause there parents cant and other
hindrances that may encounter .But we can survive and make ourselves stronger to face the coming
obstacle and challenges in our journey,everyone needs everyone so we must help each other to achieve
our goals in life.
