LAST 2ND DAY OF MARCH 2017 AT THE BARANGAY SESSION HALL, MAPULANG
LUPA, VALENZUELA CITY

Resolution No. 10 Series of 2017

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND


MANAGEMENT PLAN (BDRRMP) AND BARANGAY CONTINGENCY PLAN (BCP)

WHEREAS, RA 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Act 2010 (DRRM Act) and RA 7160, otherwise known as Local
Government Code of 1991 mandates LGUs including the barangay to promote health
and safety, maintain peace and order, and preserve the comfort and convenience of the
inhabitants being the frontrunner of delivering basic services to the grassroots;

WHEREAS, there is a need for pre-disaster planning, community disaster


preparedness, precise disaster control action for rescue evacuation, relief and
rehabilitation, to ensure the survival of every inhabitants of this barangay;

WHEREAS, a Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan and Barangay
Contingency Plan has been conceptualized and approved in consultation with the
members of the community;

WHEREAS, these Plan is vital to the preservation of life and promotion of peace and
order as well as the comfort off the inhabitants of this Barangay;

WHEREAS, if the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan is


overwhelmed, the Barangay Contingency Plan will be activated;

NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved, to


adopt the Barangay Disaster Risk reduction and Management Plan and Barangay
Contingency Plan of this Barangay as guide in response during calamities;

RESOLVED, further, that copies of this resolution be furnished to office of the city
mayor, the Office of the Vice Mayor, the Department of Interior and Local Government
(DILG), the Liga ng mga Barangay,Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council thru Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
Office (VCDRRMO), the Office of Civil Defense and other interested, for their
information and guidance.
Adopted this 2ND day of MARCH 2017 in Barangay Mapulang Lupa, Valenzuela City.
