I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students would be able to;
a. Identify agencies responsible for non-communicable diseases prevention and
control.
b. Create slogan in preventing non-communicable diseases.
c. Value the importance of agencies in the prevention for non-communicable diseases.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Agencies Responsible for Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control
References: Google, MAPEH Curriculum Guide, Self-Learning Module
Materials: PowerPoint presentation, TV monitor, Laptop

III. PROCEDURES
a. Preliminaries
 Prayer
 Checking of attendance
 Greetings

b. Activity
The teacher will show some jumbled letters and let the students arrange the words
correctly. The jumbled letters are examples of non-communicable diseases.

2. TESEBIAD 5. ASMATH
3. ALMERZHEI 6. ERGYALL

c. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following questions to students;
1. What agencies that help to control or prevent non-communicable diseases?
2. What is the role of the government in the prevention and control of
communicable disease?
3. As a student, how can you help your community to improve their health and
prevent the diseases?

d. Abstraction
The teacher explains and elaborate further about agencies responsible for non-
communicable diseases prevention and control.

e. Application
The teacher will group the students into 4. Each group will create slogan about
helping the community on the prevention of non-communicable diseases. Each
group will have one representative to briefly explain the created slogan in front of
the class. They will be graded according to the criteria below. They will have 15
minutes to finish the task.
Slogan Making Criteria
Clarity of message - 15 pts.
Creativity - 5 pts.
Originality - 10 pts.
TOTAL 30 pts.

IV. ASSESSMENT
The teacher will give a short quiz to the students to check there understanding about the
lesson. The type of test is multiple choice and they will be given 10 minutes to answer the
test.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Research 3 more programs and policies that address the prevention of non-communicable
diseases. Fill out the table below using your research.
