Grammar Mini-Lesson

Gestures and sign language are important forms of non-verbal communication. Sign language uses hand shapes, locations, orientations, and body movements to convey meaning. Ensuring proper form is important so the audience understands correctly. Common errors include incorrect hand placement or orientation. It is important to use space and facial expressions to highlight emotion. Proper sentence structure differs from spoken language, using a broken structure instead of regular sentences.
