Ask the following questions :

B. Establishing a purpose for the Jigsaw puzzle
lesson.
Direction: Identify common childhood diseases. Divide the class into three. Each group will be
given their respective jigsaw puzzle to complete. For 5 minutes, the group must complete their
puzzle. The first group to finish the puzzle will be rewarded.

Disease Symptoms
Pneumonia A cough, high temperature,
(Acute Respiratory Infection) difficulty breathing, rapid
heartbeat
Hangga A rash that turns into itchy,
(chicken pox) fluid – filled blisters that
eventually turn into scabs.
With a fever, headache, sore
throat, or stomachache.
Sip-on Sneezing, stuffy nose, runny
(common colds) nose, sore throat, coughing,
water eyes
Dengue A diseases cause by the
mosquito. The most common
symptom of dengue is fever
with nausea, vomiting, rash,
aches and pains ( eye pain,
typically behind the eyes,
muscle, joint, or bone pain )
Trangkaso Fever or feeling feverish/
(Influenza) chills, cough, sore throat,
runny or stuffy nose, muscle
or body aches, headaches,
fatigue.
Tipdas Measles symptoms appears 7
(measles) to 14 days after contact with
the virus and typically include
high fever, cough, runny nose,
and water eyes. Measles rash
appears 3 to 5 days after the
first symptoms.
Bikag Mumps is best known for the
(mumps) puffy cheeks and tender,
swollen jaw that it causes.
Symptoms are, fever,
headache, muscle aches,
tiredness, loss of appetite.
Bitukon Diarrhea, constipation, gas,
(Parasitic Intestinal bloating, and nausea are all
Infestation) common symptoms of
parasites. Weight loss –
parasites can cause nausea
and poor nutritional
absorption, which can lead to
weight loss
Sore eyes Sore, tired, burning or itching
eyes, watery or dry eyes.
Tuberculosis Feelings of sickness or

and night sweats.

Direction : Identify common childhood diseases. Divide the class into three groups. Each group will
pass the message from the back up to the front. The last person who will receive the message will

Awake, Enthusiastic “. While singing pupils should pass the ball to his or her seatmates. When the
song stops, the student with the ball will give 1 common childhood disease. Afterwards, he or she
will call another student to give the symptoms of the said disease. Each students will be rewarded.
