How To Calculate GPA - Mohamed Eissa - PentaGram

This document outlines how to calculate grade point average (GPA) using a common grading scale. It provides the letter grades, corresponding numerical ranges, and grade point equivalents. It explains that to pass, a student must earn at least 60% overall and 40% on the final paper. Quality points are calculated by multiplying credit hours by the grade point equivalent. The semester and overall GPAs are then calculated by dividing the total quality points by the total credit hours. An example calculation is provided.

Example
MSK 101-1 mark was 58 , and he passed the 40% from the final paper
then as MSK 101-1 4 credit hours then we have 2 marks to add , and if
we added them to this student he will be 60 , so he will got D degree
and passed the exam , instead of F ( so in this case the marks were
added)

Another case
Student with 59 marks in MSK 101-1 , but he didn’t pass the 40% from
final paper, unfortunately he can’t be able to add any marks and will
counted as Failed
