ACTION RESEARCH COMPONENTS
I. CONTEXT AND RATIONALE Reading means looking at words and sentences
written down or printed, understanding what
they mean, and taking in their information. It's
about seeing the words, understanding what
they're saying, and getting the message they're
meant to convey. People read for different
reasons, like learning new things, enjoying
stories, or communicating with others. The
more you read, the more things you know. The
more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
This is a famous quote by Dr Suess. Based on
the quote of Dr. Seuss's it saya about the
essence of the importance of continuous
learning and exploration. Reading not only
expands our knowledge but also opens doors to
new opportunities and experiences. The more
we learn, the more equipped we are to navigate
through life's journey and discover new
horizons. It emphasizes the value of curiosity
and lifelong learning as pathways to personal
growth and fulfillment. This action research,
focus on helping students become good readers.
This skill is crucial for their success in school
and sets a strong base for future learning in
classrooms.
II. ACTION RESEARCH 1. Does reading on their own every day make
QUESTIONS students better at reading and understanding
things by the end of the school term?
2. What are the best ways to help young kids
get better at recognizing and using sounds in
words?
3. Do using technology tools for reading make
students more excited and interested in reading
stuff?
III. PROPOSED INNOVATION, In order to achieve the objectives of this action
INTERVENTION AND STRATEGY research, the following procedures must be
undertaken:
1. Innovation: Let students choose books they
like and read on their own for 20 minutes every
day, then talk about the books with friends or
teachers.
Intervention: Provide students with interesting

books at their reading level and give them time
and space to read independently every day.
Strategy: Create cozy reading areas in
classrooms or libraries and give students
rewards for finishing books.
2.Innovation: Use fun activities like games,
songs, and hands-on tools to help young kids
learn sounds in words.
Intervention: Teach students how to hear and
play with sounds in words every day, using
things like rhyming and word-building games.
Strategy: Teach phonics skills through
activities that appeal to different senses, like
listening, seeing, and touching.
3.Innovation: Use cool technology tools like e-
books and educational apps to make reading
more fun and interesting for students.
Intervention: Let students explore digital books
and activities that match their interests and
reading level, both in class and at home.
Strategy: Train teachers on how to use digital
resources effectively and make sure students
have access to quality online content.
IV. ACTION RESEARCH In order to attain the objective of this agenda
METHODS the teacher will:
- Paying attention to what happens in the
classroom and taking notes on teaching
methods, student behavior, and how students
learn.
- Checking documents like lesson plans, tests,
and student work to see how things are going.
- Working together to make plans for what to
do to improve teaching and learning.
-Using simple tools like checklists or ratings to
keep track of what's happening and how well

things are going.
