SAND WASHING SOLUTIONS
Washing plant process:
LZZG sand washing plants contains a complete set of processes to get the standard products:
feeding, screening, scrubbing and washing, dewatering, mud water treatment(wastewater
treatment system), sludge management.
1. Truck load raw materials into hopper continuously feeding to follow equipment
through vibrating feeder.
2. Separating to different parts in granularity and washing with water.
3. Accumulation of gravels and oversize products through belt conveyor to form stock
piles.
4. The fraction that meets finished products in particle is feed into sand washing machine
with water to remove impurities covering the surface of sand under the rotate and stir
of impeller. After washing the cleaned sand will be dewater by dewatering vibrating
screen and fines recycled by hydrocyclone. When raw material contains viscous
impurities, sufficient scrubbing with a attrition scrubber is the most effective way to
improve the washing effect.
5. Muddy water discharged from hydrocyclone clarification with the help of flocculant
solution in paste thickener. Clean water are recovered to the process, sludge is pressed
into mud cake and dry discharge by filter press.
Washing effect:
1. Solid particles washing and dehydration - the water content of finished products is
8%; the mud content of finished sand is ≤3%, which is in line with the standard for
commercial mixed sand.
2. Sediment separation – more than 90% -200mesh fine particles can be recycled and
dewatered.
3. Muddy water purification – 90% muddy water can be purified through mud and water
separation and reuse to the process.
4. Solid waste dry discharge – the water content of pressure-filtered mud cake is < 20%,
which can realize dry pile dry discharge treatment of solid waste in tail water.

What Is Sand Washing Machine
LZZG sand washing machine is also called sand washer, which adopted advanced
technology of high efficient sand washing according to real situations of sand markets to
meet the demand for cleaner and drier sands.
LZZG sand washer combined wheel sand washing machine with characteristics of sand
recycling machine, making it a compact multiple function sand washing plant(we also
call it sand washing & recycling machine).
This new type LZZG sand washing machines have the features of high washing quality,
dehydration rate, large capacity and low energy consumption. And the most important
point is that there is very little sand loss during the sand washing process. It can remove
ultra fines -150 microns from artificial sand and natural sand, finally get output sand
dewatered to 12% moisture content.
LZZG sand washer is widely used for crushing sand, gravel, aggregate, river sand, lake
sand or sea sand washing, dewatering and classifying.
Working Principle
Washing: Aggregates flow into washing tank from feeding launder grinds with each
other and rolls with the impellor slowly, the impurities covered in sand is washing out by
water.
Recycling: Hydrocyclone is the most efficiency method for sand washing process. 0.074-
3mm fine sand that mixed in overflow water can be recycled in the cyclone.
Dewatering: Coarse sand (3-10mm) and fine sand (0.074-3mm) are fed onto dewatering
screen panels for dewatering, after dewatering process the water content is about 8-12%
and can be conveyed, piled up or transported.

Application Scope: attrition scrubbers can be used in glass sand, frac sand, mineral sand, clay,
iron ore, and sand and gravel production, for dispersing the slime and removing the impurities on
the mineral surface.

Overview
Attrition scrubbers are also called attrition cells, which are generally used before or after sand
screws in sand washing plant to scrub the surfaces of particulates, break down impurities, and
remove it from competent aggregate material to reduce the product turbidity.

Attrition scrubber consists of a tank with a series of rotating paddles or blades that agitate the mineral
particles and scrub them against each other, effectively removing any surface contaminants or
coatings. The scrubbing action can also help to break down clay or other materials that might be
clinging to the mineral particles. We design singl and multiple cell attrition scrubber units for
different scrubbing requirements of mineral materials.
LZZG attrition scrubbers provide efficient scrubbing solutions for a variety of applications for sand,
gravel, aggregate ore, coal and other industries.

Working principle
Slurry enters the scrubber cavity through the feed pipe, and produces severe turbulence under the
strong agitation of impeller. The ore particles have great momentum in them and produce intense
friction and collision with each other.

The impurity membrane wrapped on the surface of ore is easily peeled off the mineral surface by
friction and impact due to its low strength. The cement surface is immersed in water and then the
mineral particles are strongly rubbed and collided with each other to loosen and disintegrate, thereby
achieving the separation of clay and ore.

These impurities and clay are disintegrated and exfoliated into the slurry, and the slurry can be
separated by subsequent desliming. In the actual production process, different agents should be added
according to the actual conditions of mineral.

Overview
Y series vibrating screen is vibrated by the circling motion, it’s high efficient screen for filter
materials into multiple grade according to the gravel size. For the compact structure and the
convenient installation, it is the ideal screening device for prefilter of the feed materials before the
primary crushing in the quarry site, it also can be used as separation and filtration solely.
Vibrating screen adopts cylinder type eccentric shaft vibrator and partial block to adjust the
amplitude. The materiel sieve drip line is long and more sieving specifications. The circular vibrating
screen can also be used for production classifying in quarry, mine, construction, electricity, chemical
industry, etc.
Working principle
Y series vibrating screen is mainly composed of screen box, screen mesh, vibrator, damping spring
device, bottom frame and so on. The side plate of vibrating screen is made of high quality steel
plate.It is connected with the beam and bottom seat of the vibration exciter with high strength bolts
or ring slot rivets, and cylinder type eccentric shaft exciter and eccentric block are used to adjust the
amplitude.

Vibrator is installed on the screen box side plate to drive vibrator eccentric block produce high-speed
rotation through v-belt by the motor so that could produce large centrifugal force to stimulate the
screen box produce a certain amplitude of circular movement.The material on the screen is subjected
to the impulse passed by the screen box on the titled screen surface and produces continuous
throwing motion.So particles that are smaller than the screen hole pass through the screen so as to
achieve classification when material enters the screen surface.
