A commonly accepted definition of competition advocacy is that it includes all
activities of a competition agency that are intended to promote competition
apart from those that involve enforcement of the competition law
According to ICN Report 2002, competition advocacy in broad terms can be
understood to encompass all activities pursued by competition authorities to
spread a competition culture.
OBJECTIVES OF C OMPETITION ADVOCACY
One objective can be to raise the general awareness about competition issues
and concerns amongst regulators, academia, the judiciary d oh public and
