What is It
Words like chants, stands, plays, practices, and perform are words that
indicate actions. These words tell what the noun is doing. They are called

Verbs come in three tenses: present, past and future.
Present tense – is used to tell actions that are happening right now, or that are
continuously happen.
Examples:
Singular: He plays the bass guitar.
Plural: They practice three times a week.
Past tense – is used to tell actions that have already happened. It uses time
indicators like; yesterday, last week, three years ago. In this tense, base form
verbs are added with – ed.
Examples:
play + ed = played
practice + d = practiced

Future tense – is used to tell actions that have yet to happen. It uses time
