THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST
EXTERNAL BRANCHES

To the glory of God, the 46th Session of the General Council Meetings held from the
Pentecost Convention, Gomoa Fetteh from May 3-6, 2023, under the theme,
“Repositioning the Local Church for Maximum Impact in the Nations” (1 Thess 2:19-
20; Col 2:6-7) has ended successfully. The Lord manifested Himself to us through
the ministration of his word, and by various revelations, led us in our deliberations.

Below were some of the decisions taken:

Elections
1. Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye was re-elected to serve a second term as
Chairman of The Church of Pentecost worldwide.
2. Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, Area Head for Asamankese in the Eastern Region,
has been elected General Secretary.
3. Apotre Lare Banimpo Jules, National Head of Togo has been elected as Executive
Council member and Coordinator for the Francophone bloc. He replaces Apotre
Ousmane Patinde Zabre who has served for 15 years.
4. Apostles Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi (Out-going General Secretary), Dr.
Amos Jimmy Markin (Director, Evangelism Ministry) and Dr. Dieudonne Komla
Nuekpe (Area Head, La) were elected as Executive Council members.
Successful Completion of Tenure

1. Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi has successfully completed a two-term


service as General Secretary of the Church. He served for 10 years.
2. Apotre Ousmane Patinde Zabre, National Head for Burkina Faso, has successfully
completed his services as Executive Council member and RCC Coordinator for
the francophone bloc. He served for 15 years.
3. Apostles Dr. Daniel Okyere Walker (Area Head, Tarkwa & RCC Coordinator for
the Western and Western north regions), Samuel Yaw Antwi (Area Head, Cape
Coast & RCC Coordinator for the Central Region) & Prophet David Kankam
Beditor (Area Head, Ashaiman & RCC Coordinator for the Greater Accra region)
have successfully completed their terms as Executive Council members.

Appointment as RCC Coordinator

Apostle Jules Lare Banimpo has been appointed RCC Coordinator for West Africa
Francophone

Apostle Sam Agyeman Tabi has been appointed RCC Coordinator for Europe

Apostle Raymond Odei has been appointed as the RCC Coordinator for the middle
East and the Gulf

Appointments

• Pastor James Kusi Owusu has been appointed as the Personal Assistant to the
International Missions Director (IMD). He replaces Pastor Gideon Boadu-
Yirenkyi.
• Apostle Dr. Frank Asirifi has been appointed as Acting Evangelism Ministry
Director for COPUSA with extra responsibility as resident Minister for PIWC New
York
• Pastor Emmanuel Ntumy Adofo has been appointed as Deputy Evangelism
Director (COPUSA)

• Pastor Albert Sampana has been appointed as the New Youth and PENSA
Director (COPUSA)
• Pastor Charles Teddy Adupong is appointed as the Administrative and Operations
Director for the CoP-UK
• Pastor Cpt. Jehu Gyimah has been appointed Chaplain of the US Army
• Overseer Dr. Martin Koranteng Appiah has been appointed Coordinator for
Pentecost Theological Institute in South Africa
• P/Overseer Kofi Owusu Boakye of the USA has been appointed as the PENSA
International Coordinator

Creation of Areas / Regions


The following Areas have been approved to be created by September 2023. See
Appendix 1 (a) for the composed Districts.

Creation Of Districts
See Appendix 1(b) for Districts that have been approved for creation by
September 2023.

Change of name of District /Relocation of seat


• Suswa District in Narok Area (Kenya) will now be known and called Santa Mara
District
• St John’s District Seat (Canada) has been relocated to Halifax.

Call into the Full Time Ministry


See Appendix 2 for full list of candidates who have been approved for calling into
full-time ministry in their respective Nations.

Ministerial Training
See Appendix 3 for ministers and ministerial candidates scheduled for ministerial
training in Pentecost University, Ghana and Pentecost Theological Institute, Cote
D’Ivoire by September 2023.

Upgrading to Full Overseers


See Appendix 4 for list of Probationary Overseers who have been upgraded to full
Overseers.

Call to Pastorate
See Appendix 5 for list of Overseers who have been called to the pastorate.

Call into Bi-Vocational

See Appendix 6 for candidates who have been accepted for calling into Bi-
vocational Ministry in their respective nations.

Apostles Samuel Obeng Eshun (Netherlands) and Emmanuel Ennin (Austria) have
resumed office as National Heads in their respective nations after their medical leave.

Reinstatement into the Pastorate


Pastor Stephen Yaw Bonna (Spain) who was downgraded a year ago has been re-
instated into the pastorate.

End of Missions Duty

The following ministers will end their missions duties by August 2023:
