D. Discussion The weather keep changing everyday
that affect what food we eat, clothes we
wear and what activities we can do
daily. This condition is affected by the
different season in the Philippines.
A season is a period of the year that is
usually characterized by a particular
kind of weather.
Since the Philippines is located just right
above the equator, it receives direct heat
from the sun.
Philippines has two kinds of season;
1. Dry season
2. Wet season
DRY SEASON is what we experience
when the sun shines brightly most of the
days. It is characterized by hot and
cloudless days. Between JANUARY to
MAY, the climate be generally dry with
occasional rain showers. During January
to February, the air is cold.
The farmers are eagerly await for the
dry seasons to harvest the crops and
bring these to the market.
It is also the time to build structures like;
houses, buildings and roads. Because
cements easily dry up.
People love going to: beach and resorts
and enjoying playing outdoors during
dry season.
During dry season people must: drink
plenty of water, use of sunglasses, bring
an umbrella and wear appropriate
clothes that are comfortable to wear.
Here are some possible activities
during dry season.
- Picnic
- Go tricking and hiking
- Go to beach and resorts
- Going to the community activities
WET SEASON is characterized by a
pronounced rainy season. Wet season
starts in JUNE to early OCTOBER and
then falls slowly towards the end of the
year.
The farmers eagerly await for the wet
season. It is the time to prepare for
planting.
With the help of rain water, the planted
seeds grow into healthy crops for people
to consume.
These are the essentials items and
clothing you need during wet or rainy
seasons. Jacket, raincoat, rain-boots,
waterproof bag and umbrella.
Here are some possible activities
during wet season.
Food tripping, and some interacting
activities such as;
- Reading books
- Writing
- Playing video games
- Watch television
- Playing musical instruments.
Learning different seasons in the
Philippines is very exciting, to give you
more exciting experience I will group
you into two.
