To begin:
Ch4, sl st to 1st ch to form a ring or use a magic ring.
Round 1: CW1-Bessie / CW2-Bessie
Ch2 (this counts as the 1st hdc), 11hdc into the ring.
Join to the top of the beginning ch2 with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.
Stitch count: 12hdc
Round 2: CW1-Vanilla / CW2-Sunglow
Join in any st, ch2, 1dc in the same st (this counts as the 1st dc2tog), ch1.
*Dc2tog in the next st, ch1. * Repeat from * to * 10 more times.
Join to the top of the beginning dc2tog with a sl st. Fasten off and secure
ends.
Stitch count: 12dc2tog, 12 ch1-spaces

Round 3: CW1-Pear / CW2-Willow
Note: Your flower may curl up a little after this round.
Join in any ch1-sp, ch2, dc3tog in the same sp (this counts as the 1st cl-st),
ch2.
*Cl-st in the next ch1-sp, ch2.* Repeat from * to * 10 more times.
Join to the top of the beginning cl-st with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.
Stitch count: 12 cl-stitches, 12 ch2-spaces

Round 4: CW1-Sweetpea / CW2-Ruby Pink
Join in any ch2-sp, ch1 (this does not count as a st), 1sc in the same sp, fptrc
around the top of the dc2tog from Round 2, 1sc in the same sp (this will be the
ch2-sp that you started in), then ch1.
*1sc in the next ch2-sp, fptrc around the top of the dc2tog from Round 2, 1sc
in the same sp, ch1.* Repeat from * to * 10 more times. Join to the
beginning sc with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.
Stitch count: 24sc, 12 fptrc (36sts), 12ch-1 spaces
Round 5: CW1-Ruby Pink / CW2-Pickled Ginger
Note: Be careful not to miss the sc next to the fptrc.
Join in any st, ch1 (this does not count as a st), 1sc in the same st, work 1sc
into each st and ch1-sp.
Join to the beginning sc with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.

Note: You may need to go up half a hook size for this round.

*1sc in each of the next 5sts, v-st in the next st.* Repeat from * to * 6 more
times.
Join to the beginning sc with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.
Stitch count: 40sc, 8 v-stitches

Round 9: CW1-Vanilla / CW2-Bessie
Join in the 3rd sc of any 5sc group, ch2, 1dc in the same st (this counts as
the 1st dc2tog), ch2, (dc2tog, ch2, dc2tog, ch2, dc2tog) in the same st (you
should have 4 x dc2tog).
*Sk2sts, 1sc in the 1st dc of the v-st, ch1, 1sc in the next dc, sk2sts, in the
rd
next st, (3 sc of 5sc), (dc2tog, ch2) – 3 times, dc2tog in the same st.*
Repeat from * to * 6 more times. Sk2sts, 1sc in the 1st dc of the v-st, ch1,
1sc in the last dc.
Join to the top of the beginning dc2tog with a sl st. Fasten off and secure
ends.
Stitch count: 8 sets of 4 dc2tog, 24 ch2-spaces, 16sc,
8 ch1-spaces

Round 10: CW1-Bessie / CW2-Karoolands
Note: Traditionally a puff is closed with a ch, so you will be working a
ch1 with every puff.
Join in the 1st ch2-sp of any dc2tog grouping with a standing hdc, 2hdc in
the same sp, 3hdc in each of the next 2 ch2-sps.
*Ch1, working over the ch1-sps from Rounds 8 and 9, make 1 puff into the v-st
from Round 8. Work 3hdc in each of the next 3 ch2-sps.* Repeat from * to * 6
more times, ch1. Puff over the ch1-sps from Rounds 8 and 9. Fasten off using
a needle join.
Stitch count: 72hdc, 8 puffs, 16 ch1-spaces (includes the
closing ch1 of puff stitch)

Round 11: CW1-Sweetpea / CW2-Ruby Pink
Join in the top of any puff st, ch3 (this counts as the 1st hdc and ch1).

from * to * 7 more times omitting the last hdc and ch1.
Join to the 2nd ch of the beginning ch3 with a sl st. Fasten off and secure
ends.

Round 12: CW1-Ruby Pink / CW2-Pickled Ginger
Note: If you find your fphdc is pulling, you can use a fpdc.
Working BLO, join in the 1st bphdc made after any puff, ch1 (this does not
count as a st), 1sc in the same st, 1sc in each of the next 8sts.
*1sc in the ch1-sp, fphdc around the top of the puff from Round 10, 1sc in the
ch1-sp, working BLO make 1sc in each of the next 9sts.* Repeat from * to * 6
more times. 1sc in the ch1-sp, fphdc around the top of the puff from Round
10, 1sc in the ch1-sp.
Join to the beginning sc with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.
Stitch count: 8fphdc, 88sc (96sts)

Round 13: CW1-Bessie / CW2-Karoolands
Note: You will be working on the back of your work, turn your work over
so the back is facing you. Keep your tension even for your chains, they
should lie along the top of your work, not to the back. (I worked the chain
in a 3.5mm hook).
Join around the top of the post of any fphdc, ch14, sl st around the next
fphdc.
*Ch14, sl st around the next fphdc.* Repeat from * to * 6 more times.
Join to the beginning ch with a sl st. Fasten off and secure ends.
Stitch count: 8 ch14-spaces, 8 sl stitches

Round 14: CW1-Sunglow / CW2-Sunglow
Note: Turn your work over and work with the right side facing you again.
When working into the fphdc, push the ch to the back of your stitches.
When working into the sc, push the ch to the front of your work. One
stitch in each repeat will serve as an anchor (you will need to work over
the chain). Don’t forget to use same hook as used in Round 12. Be
careful not to skip the first st that is hidden behind the ch -sp after you
have made the dc in the fphdc.
(Ch to the back) join in any fphdc from Round 12 with a standing dc, 1dc in
the same st.
*(Ch to the front) 1dc in each of the next 5sts. Work over the ch and make 1dc
in the next st. (Ch still to the front) 1dc in each of the next 5sts. (Ch to the
back) 2dc in the next st (this will be the next fphdc).* Repeat from * to * 7
more times omitting the last 2dc. Fasten off using a needle join.

Join around the post of any st with a standing bphdc, work 1bphdc around
each of the next 103sts.
