potassium nitrate to accelerate
the growth cycle of trees and
advance their flowering and
fruiting stages.
DR. JOSEFINO CACAS COMISO
q Filipino physicist working at the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration (NASA)

q He studied many polar processes and was among


the first researchers to report dramatic changes in
the Arctic sea ice cover and accelerated warming
at high latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere

q He is a recipient of the NASA Exceptional

new species
