What are the critical factors that you would consider when engaging the three way relationship of

the teacher, the curriculum, and the students in planning a teaching and learning session?

The teacher, curriculum, and students work together for teaching and learning to happen. However, when preparing for a
teaching and learning session, there are factors that should be considered so that all these three elements can blend well to
create valuable educational encounters. Here are some of the factors that I think that we need to consider to consider:

First, it is very important to know what are the students’ needs, interests, and abilities are. In order for teachers to do this
they should take into consideration their various backgrounds as well as learning styles because different people have got
different ways through which they understand things better than others. Another thing that can help in achieving this is
involving learners themselves during planning stages where by this will ensure that whatever being taught resonates well with
them since it touches on their lives directly.

Second, one should ensure that his teaching aligns itself with the curriculum objectives. A teacher needs to look at what
he wants his learners achieve at the end of certain period and then design lessons around those identified outcomes so as not
miss out anything required of him within given time frame. Therefore before embarking on any topic make sure you know its
relevance towards broader scheme of work otherwise it may become difficult trying cover everything needed.

Third, teachers should encourage students’ active involvement in their own education through hands-on activities. This
means that instead of merely listening or watching demonstrations passively, children ought to participate fully by carrying out
experiments practically based on what has been taught during class hours so far whereby they may need materials such as
beakers, test tubes plus chemicals among others depending on the nature of experiment being conducted.

Furthermore, teachers need to ensure that their learners are exposed various forms of assessment. Formative
assessments should be combined with summative ones in order for teachers to have a comprehensive view on how well each
student is doing academically. For example, besides continuous tests which are given at the end of every unit or term etcetera
there can also be projects where pupils work groups so they can help one another learn new things as well as demonstrate what
has been learnt already within specified period; this way it becomes easier identifying those who might require additional
coaching while still possible because some may perform better when faced with challenges unlike others who do better given
adequate time plus guidance.

Moreover, teachers can promote individualized instruction by differentiating tasks according to students’ abilities,
interests and learning styles. This means that instead of assigning same activities for everyone irrespective individual differences
among learners which may result into boredom among others; educators should provide alternative options whereby each
person gets involved based on his or her own strengths plus weaknesses towards achieving desired outcomes within limited
time frame.

In addition to fostering positive classroom environments through inclusive practices and collaboration between teacher-
students as well as peer-to-peer; fourthly creating an environment conducive critical thinking is equally important too. Here the
instructor needs present open-ended questions or scenarios raise curiosity levels among children thereby forcing them think
deeply critically about what they already know don’t yet understand concerning particular topic under discussion. The more
students struggle come up accurate answers themselves without relying much on notes given during lessons; then greater will
be their ability connect different pieces information together thus forming logical explanations behind everything taking place
around them including within natural world too.

Finally but not least, it’s crucial integrating cultural diversity into curriculum design broader sense. Teaching materials
should be selected from wide range cultures represented within society today so that all learners feel included valued
throughout educational process regardless their background origin race religion gender sexual orientation etcetera.
