Generally, European trains still stop at borders to change locomotives and staff. This is often
necessary. The German and French voltage systems are incompatible. Spain – though not
Portugal – has a broad gouge track. English bridges are lower than elsewhere, and passengers
on German trains would need a ladder to reach French platforms, twice as high as their own.
But those physical constraints pale in comparison to an even formidable barrier – national
chauvinism. While officials in Brussels strive for an integrated and efficiently run rail
network to relieve the Continent’s gorged roads and airways and cut down on pollution,
three-member countries – France, Germany, and Italy – are working feverishly to
develop their own expensive and mutually incompatible high-speed trains.
European trains are incompatible to enter from one European country into another due to the
physical barriers between them, but more so the nationalistic tendencies. Officials in
Brussels, however, are striving for an integrated rail network, but three member countries are
doing the opposite.
A good book is one of our best friends. It is the same today and it will never change. This is
the most patient and cheerful of colleagues. He does not turn away from us in times of trouble
or distress. It always accepts us with the same kindness. To entertain and educate in youth, to
comfort and comfort us in old age.
Precis: A good book is a patient, never-changing, and cheerful friend who helps us find peace
and comfort in grief, in youth, and in old age.
The test of a great book is whether we want to read it once or more. Any book, which we
want to read a second time more than we wanted to read the first time, is really a great book.
Each additional reading will help us to understand it better and we will help to understand it
better and we will find new beauty in it. A book that doesn’t bother to be read more than once
by a person with education and good taste is probably not worth much.
Precis: A good book is one in which we turn again and again to discover new beauties, but if
we do not turn to it again, it will be a bad book.
Letters are an invaluable tool in maintaining your friendship with these people. Without
exchanging letters, our absent friends and relationships practically die for us. We can learn
from books about where they live or hear from travelers about prosperity or failure, but
through letters, we can talk to them whenever we want and what they are doing or thinking.
Can get a clear picture of it. Everything they live in remote areas.
Precis: – Letters help maintain our friendship. They are the way we communicate and interact
with our friends in remote areas.
It is very important for young people that from the very beginning they have a habit of
trusting others as they please. They should learn to dress, wash, take food with their own
hands, and not expect mothers or servants to do this for them. They must learn to write and
store their minds with knowledge so that they can earn their living when they go into the
world.
Precis: A young person should learn to be self-reliant from an early age so that when they
grow up and enter life, they will be able to earn a living.
The lives of most of us are always sympathetic. Exciting, dangerous, or adventurous never
happens to us. Through books, children can live in a very interesting, dangerous, and brave
world. Books like “Treasure Island” provide a child with an interesting and dangerous world
in which anything can and does happen. Later, detective stories and actual accounts of wars
and battles provide all the escape that is often required from everyday life. These are safety
valves. They provide a shop and are an antidote to anger. Everyone from presidents to lower
citizens needs it. Children who study extensively and deeply are less likely to go around
throwing stones at buses, smashing buildings, and smashing public property. They are thrilled
by the books and do not look for them in the dark streets and spite of the senseless and
foolish persecution of stabbing and killing.
Title: Books - Antidote to Boredom
Précis: Life would be dim in the absence of books. Books provide all the excitement needed
to make life interesting. Children find an outlet for boredom in books. They read children’s
stories first and pass on adventure and exploitation books. Books keep them away from
inactive activities.
Water is the basis of all life. Every animal or every animal has a sufficient amount of free or
shared water in its body and no physical activity is possible in which water does not play an
essential role. Water is essential for the life of animals, while soil moisture is just as essential
for the life and growth of plants and trees, although the amount varies from plant to plant.
Thus the protection and use of water are fundamental to human well-being. The main source
of water is rain or snow. Much of Indian agriculture depends on seasonal rainfall and,
therefore, is very sensitive to one’s failures or irregularities. During the rainy season, a large
amount of rainwater flows into rivers and streams and eventually finds its way to the sea and
because of this, it loses the country. So harassing our rivers is a huge national issue to deal
with national lines. Large areas of land that are currently only clean, forests can be turned
into fertile and prosperous countries by harassing this source of water.
Precis: We should use the water that is necessary for the life of animals and plants. The main
source of water is rain. Most of the rainwater goes into the rivers. This water should be used
to make our barren land fertile. Therefore, water conservation and its use is a huge national
issue at the national level.
Art is very important in the modern world. By that, I do not mean that modern art is better
than the art of other generations. Obviously not. The quantity of modern art, not quantity, is
important. More and more people are interested in art as an art form. And more and more
people are devoting their time to it than ever before. Our age, although it has created some
masterpieces, it is completely aesthetic. The increase in the number of practitioners and
skeptics in all the arts is not unrelated to the decline in the number of religious beliefs. For
those whose religious needs have been denied their modest fulfillment by art, it brings a
special spiritual satisfaction, the lower forms of which are for the sake of art ritual, which is
very popular. In its higher and more important forms, it is a philosophy as well as a ritual. For
the most part, there have been arts, including music and some important types of literature,
including the maids of religion. His basic task was to prove religion with visible or auditory
symbols that evoke in the subject of the viewer the emotions that are personally God to him.
Divorced from religion, the arts are now cultivated for their own sake. Aesthetic beauty that
was once dedicated to the service of God has not established a god of its own. Art has
become an alternative to religion for its own sake.
Many times in the history of the world, especially countries and cities or even small groups of
people have attained a high degree of civilization. Yet none of these civilizations, which were
important to them, survived, and one of the reasons why they could not survive was that they
were limited to a few people. They were like a little oasis of civilization in the deserts of
barbarism. Now it’s not a good idea to be polite if everyone around you is savage, or it’s
something good but it’s very dangerous. Because savages always attack you, and with their
large numbers and rudeness scatter your civilization in the winds. Repeatedly throughout
history, relatively civilized people living in cities have been conquered by savages
descending from the mountains, and everything found in the plains has been burned and
destroyed.
Precis: Many nations in the world had a great culture, but it came to an end due to its limited
boundaries. If you live in a savage society you will not be more civilized. Destroy savage
civilization with savage and cruel power. In the past, savages defeated civilized people.
Science has become one of the most powerful factors in modern life that are generally
accepted and indeed a clear fact. The proper role of the scientist himself, however, is a point
on which there is no general agreement. On the one hand, there are the dead hands who,
ignoring the changed conditions of the outside world, claim that the personal influence of a
scientist outside the laboratory should not be greater than that of an ordinary citizen. On the
other hand, are there extremists who support a phase of technocracy in which scientists have
special privileges and large-scale control? Those who are inclined towards the latter theory
are unfortunately far more dynamic than their conservative and far more peers than there is a
widespread perception that scientists generally share these views and that global They claim
to be more involved in the control of affairs. He is currently the owner. Therefore, timely
effort. Assessing the proper status of scientists in modern society.
Precis: People have different opinions about the role of scientists in society. Some people
think that outside his laboratory, the scientist is just an ordinary citizen. Others say scientists
should receive special privileges. Many scientists share this idea. They want more shares in
controlling the world. We need to assess the status of a scientist.
Precis: Indian culture has gone through many ups and downs. We have lost on many
occasions. But these defeats have not broken our souls. We came alive after every blow.
Today we are trying to reshape our heritage according to the demands of the age. We have
confidence in the human soul to reshape history. We should try to build a cooperative and
equal community.
It is physically impossible for an educated intellectual or a brave man to make money for the
main purpose of his thoughts: just as it is for him to make his dinner his main purpose. All
healthy people love their food, but dinner is not the biggest goal of their lives. So all healthy-
minded people like to make money, they should like it. And enjoy the feeling of winning it,
but the real purpose of their life is not money. It’s better than money. A good soldier, for
example, wants to fight well. He is very happy with his salary, and when you leave him
without for ten years, he is still stingy. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the
average person. Undoubtedly they like fees, they should like it. Yet if they are brave and well
educated, the whole purpose of their life is no fee. They, on the whole, want to treat the sick,
and if they are good doctors, and if they are chosen properly, they will be able to cure their
patient, and kill him and get rid of him. Will lose fees instead. And so with all the other brave
and well-trained men. Their job is first, their fee is very important, no doubt about it, but still
second. But in every idea, as I said, there are a lot of people who are uneducated cowards and
more or less stupid. And with these people, the fee comes first and the work comes second.
Precis: An educated intellectual or many brave people can’t make their thinking the main
goal. Money is indeed very important. All healthy-minded people like to make money. They
should like it and enjoy the feeling of winning it. Still, their main goal is not money, but to do
their job well. With only educated, cowardly, and stupid people, fees are more important than
work. But with brave and well-trained men, their job is first, their fee is second.
Title: Sportsmanship
Precis: Today we lack the spirit of sportsmanship. This spirit teaches us to accept defeat and
disappointment with a smile. No one can succeed in every wish. We should not despair if our
intentions are not fulfilled. If everyone wants to go their way without earning for others, there
will be chaos in our lives and public life as well.
Books are a happy society. If you go into a room full of books and even take them down the
shelf, they seem to be talking to you, they seem to welcome you, it looks like they are inside
their compound. Appreciate something good for you and they are ready to give it to you and
try to turn it into good accounts. There is hardly any certainty about how much you want to
read books. Any good book, which is wiser than itself, will teach you many things directly or
indirectly. If your mind is open to laser, desire, and curiosity, you have to read it, indicate that
you are a person who likes to take advantage of it.
Precis: Books are good friends. They seem to be talking to a book lover. Absolutely nothing
can be said about the selection of books. A book that tells you more than you know will be
useful to you. If you come up with something out of the ordinary, then they have to re-think
their position.
As soon as the sixth or seventh century B.C. Panini wrote his excellent grammar in the
Sanskrit language. He has mentioned the previous grammar and already in its time Sanskrit
had become a crystal and had become the language of a growing literature. Panini’s book is
more than just grammar. To be described by the Soviets as Professor Leningrad’s
Stcharabsky, one of the greatest creations of the human mind, Panini is still the standard
authority on Sanskrit grammar. It has been augmented and explained by later grammar.
Interestingly, the Panini mentions the Greek script. This shows that there was some kind of
contact between India and the Greeks long before Alexander came to the East. The study of
astronomy was specially acquired and was often combined with astrology. Medicine had its
textbooks and hospitals. Dhanuntari is a legendary figure in Indian science and medicine.
However, the most famous ancient textbooks date back to the early centuries of the Christian
era. This medicine and Sirota are the sources of Charka on bone surgery. Charka is believed
to have been the royal court physician of Kanishka, whose capital was in the northwest.
These textbooks enumerate a large number of diseases and provide methods of diagnosis and
treatment. They are related to surgery, maternity, bathroom, diet, hygiene, baby feeding, and
medical education. The approach was experimental, and the dissection of the bodies
continued during surgical training. Various surgical instruments are referred to by Schutz, as
well as other operations including limb, abdomen, cesarean section, cataract, etc. The wound
is disinfected by a fumigator. In the third or fourth century B.C. There were also hospitals for
animals. This was probably due to the influence of Jainism and Buddhism, which led them to
emphasize non-violence.
Precis: Panini wrote his excellent grammar of Sanskrit in the sixth century BC. This grammar
is the standard grammar of the Sanskrit language. In ancient India, the study of astronomy
was combined with astronomy. Medicine was also very developed at that time, Charka wrote
books on medicine and Sushruta wrote on surgery. These books deal with many diseases and
their treatment methods. They also deal with surgery, maternity, hygiene, and medical
education. The surgery was also well prepared. Wound sterilization was known to physicians
at the time. Due to the influence of Jainism and Buddhism, there were animal hospitals in
India in the third or fourth century.
Precis: Of all the goals in life, personality is the hardest to achieve. For personality
development, the most important thing is self-confidence. A self-confident person believes in
his thoughts and actions, right or wrong. He has strong self-confidence and is strong enough
to withstand the most frustrating experiences. His self-confidence and fearlessness of others.
The opinion gives him maximum confidence in himself. And that confidence is strong against
his personality.
UNSOLVED PASSAGES
Exercise 1
Then one morning in Paris, in 1891, Alfred Noble opened the papers and, reading the news of
his death in the headlines, was astonished. The bitter rhetoric of the entire French press about
his life’s work hurt him the most. One article called him an “evil genius”, another called him
a “self-taught master of destruction.” They all expressed great relief that “this man who had
dedicated his life to encouraging war and bringing his countrymen to the brink of destruction
had finally disappeared from the civilized world.”
Such a violent feeling was too much for him. Instead of hating his presence in France, Noble
decided to leave the country; he devoted all his time and energy to the development of a
particular field of science, and what was the result?
Exercise 2
Democracy cannot be run without effective opposition, because it is enough for the party in
power to have a majority, for the people to have a great experience of governing by consent
rather than coercion. It is so important that the party in power should never anger the
minority. This means that he must listen to the minority and be influenced by the criticism of
the minority. This means that the responsibilities of the minority must be taken into account
in its actions and that in carrying out the measures, it must be remembered that the minority
can become the majority.
Opposition is inevitable. A good statesman, like any other sensible person, always learns
more from his opponents than from his violent supporters. Because its supporters will push it
to the brink of disaster unless its opponents show it where there are dangers.
If this partisan spirit has such a bad effect on our morals, it has a huge effect on our decision
as well. We often hear the screams of a faulty piece of paper or pamphlet, and sometimes a
large piece is worn out by people who have different principles from the author. The person
who is moved by this spirit is almost endowed with the ability to understand real angles or
beauties. A man of competence in a different principle is like something that is seen in two
different sources that appear crooked or broken, although it can be straight or complete by
itself. This strange prejudice hurts knowledge and learning in a certain way. As men first
become prominent in societies they have learned through their part and achievement, they
now disassociate themselves from the warmth and violence with which they support their
parties.
Exercise 4
All governments have certain periods when this inhuman spirit prevails. Italy had long been
torn apart by the Golfs and the Ghabilians, and France through the leagues that were in and
out of the league. But in such a stormy and catastrophic season, man is very unhappy to be
born. This artist is the restless ambition of men which divides people into factions, and many
well-wishers take their interest from a particular concern of their country. How many honest
minds are full of unauthorized and barbaric ideas for the good of the people?
Exercise 5
The method of scientific inquiry is nothing more than an expression of the essential
functioning of the human brain. This is the only mode in which all phenomena are argued,
presented accurately and precisely. There is not much difference, but there is only one kind of
difference between the mental process of a man of science and that of a common man, as
between the work and the method of a baker or a butcher and his carpenter. happens. The
work of chemistry in general scales, and its balance and fine graduate weight through a
difficult and complex analysis. It is not that the operation of scales in one case, and the
balance in another, differ in the principles of their construction or working style. But the
beam of one is placed on a much better axis than the other, and obviously, it adds very little
weight.
However, many of us have lost a lot of property in our journey through oblivion. The
common man reaches his destination with all his bags and trunks safe. The list of subjects
lost on trains during the year shows that they are young rather than adults who forget things
and that athletes have worse memories than their normal serious-minded peers. For example,
a lot of football and cricket bats are easy to understand, for boys, returning from sports, their
imaginations are still full of playground visions, and their heads are among the stars. – Or
their hearts are in their shoes – as they remember their deeds or their mistakes. . They are
separate from the world outside them. Memories prevent them from doing the little things,
such as carrying a ball or a bat when they leave the train.
Exercise 7
On the question of whether the desire to have a good memory is totally rejected and is often
debated, and men with declining memories have sometimes tried to sue their superiority. A
man, he says, who is a perfect memory machine is hardly the first intelligent man, and he
refers to numerous cases of children or men who had wonderful memories and who still have
to talk. Was not at all intelligent. However, I imagine that the great writers and great
composers of music as a whole are men of extraordinary powers of memory. The poets I
know have better memories than the stockbrokers I know. Memory is half the essence of his
art. On the other hand, the men of the states seem to have unusually bad memories. Try to get
two politicians to remember the same incident – for example, in a cabinet meeting – what
happened, and each of them will tell you that the other’s story is like a sieve or a reality. One
is lost.
Exercise 8
India should break most of its past and not allow it to dominate the present. Our lives are
associated with the deadwood of the past. Everything that has died and achieved its purpose
must be known. But that doesn’t mean you have to live in the past. We can never forget the
ideals that carried our generation forward, the dreams of the Indian people through the ages,
the wisdom of the elders, the good manners and love for the life and nature of our forefathers,
their curiosity and mental courage, His great achievements in thought, literature, art and
culture, his love of truth and beauty and freedom, the core values that he established, his
understanding of the mysterious ways of life, his Tolerate the ways of, their ability to absorb
other people and their cultural achievements so that they can be synthesized and different and
mixed cultures can be developed. If India forgets them, it will no longer be India.
Truth, as the ultimate reality, if it exists, must be eternal, irreplaceable. But this infinite,
eternal and unshakable truth can be captured in its fulfillment by the limited mind of man
which only occupies it, at most, limited by some small aspect of it, in terms of time and
space. Happens, and from the development of this mind and the state of its development. The
prevailing theory of periods. As the mind expands and expands its scope, as ideas change and
new symbols are used to express this truth, new aspects emerge, although its core part is still
sought and renewed. It can be reshaped and evolved, so that, as it is perceived by man, it
adapts its thinking and development to human development. Only then does it become a
living reality for humanity, offering its need for desire, and providing guidance for the
present and the future.
Exercise 10
Religions have greatly contributed to the development of humanity. They have set values and
standards and identified principles to guide human life. But the good things they have done
have also tried to capture the truths in definite forms, and dogmas, and have encouraged
events and practices that soon lose their true meaning and more. Become normal. Influencing
man with this unknown fear and mystery that surrounds him, he discouraged him not only
from the unknown but also from trying to understand what could come in the way of social
endeavors. Instead of encouraging curiosity and thought, he has preached the philosophy of
submission to nature, established churches, prevailing social order, and everything. Belief in
a supernatural agency that determines everything has caused some irresponsibility on the
social plane, and sentimentality and sentimentality have replaced rational thinking and
inquiry. Religion, although it has undoubtedly calmed countless human beings and
strengthened human beings, and strengthened society with its values, has examined the trend
of hereditary change and development in human society.
Exercise 11
Therefore, it is associated with the spirit and attitude of science, with philosophy, and with
devotion to everything beyond that, that we will face life. In this way, we can develop an
essential view of life that encompasses the past and the present with all its heights and depths
in its broadest scope, and with a constant view of the future. The depths are there and cannot
be ignored and the love that is always around us is the pain of the world. Man’s journey
through life is a strange mixture of joy and sorrow. That way he can only learn and develop.
The journey of the soul is a sad and lonely business. External events and their consequences
have a powerful effect on us, and yet the greatest shock comes to our minds through internal
fears and conflicts. As we move forward in the outer plane, so too if we are to survive we
must find peace with ourselves and between ourselves and our environment, a peace that
meets not only our physical and material needs but also our inner imagination. ۔Ever since he
began his troubling journey in the realm of thought and action, human beings have
distinguished him. We don’t know if this is the ultimate goal of the journey, but there is a
reward for it, and it points to a very close goal that seems achievable and that could again be
the starting point for a new initiative.
Science has dominated the Western world and everyone there pays homage to it, and yet the
West is far from developing the true spirit of science. It remains to bring the soul and the
body into creative harmony. In India, in many clear ways, we have the maximum distance to
travel. And yet very few obstacles may stand in our way, for the essential basis of Indian
thought of the past, though not subsequent demonstrations, fits with scientific rage and
perspective as well as internationalism. ۔It is based on the fearless search for truth, on the
unity of man, even on the divinity of every living thing, and on the free and cooperative
development of the individual and the caste, to the highest stages of freedom and human
growth than ever before.
Exercise 13
Before we ask the world to live in peace, we must solve our country’s problems with the
same spirit. The example is better than the example. That is what we should try to do. We
face difficulties in staring at faces, language disputes, provincial jealousies, domestic
disputes. They have undermined our stability for centuries: we do not seem to have learned
anything from our past. The only lesson history teaches us is that we learn nothing from
history. Time and again, because of our quarrels, our jealousy, our quarrels with our
neighbors, we have lost our freedom. Looks like we’re colliding again.
Exercise 15
So I don’t think it’s unrealistic or unbelievable that the floods in London might be accepted
and enjoyed poetically. Nothing beyond suffering seems real because of them and suffering is
an accidental aspect of a romantic situation. In an adventure, only one problem is rightly
considered. Trouble is just an adventure that is misunderstood. The water had reduced the
houses and shops, adding to their previous magic and amazement. As the Roman Catholic
priest says in the story: “Alcohol is good in everything except water.” And on the same
principle, water is good with everything except alcohol.
Exercise 16
Democracy is a political system that treats people equally. This is an economic vision for
which we need to improve the economic condition of this country and the people of this
world. It is an ethical way of life where we have to treat other people as our friends, our
potential friends even though they may be our enemies at the moment. A defeated enemy
remains an enemy and waits for an opportunity to take revenge. Peace becomes the enemy.
Hate is the greatest danger. This is our greatest enemy. Our whole attitude should be one of
reconciliation. Making our country truly democratic requires hard work, efficiency, and
organization. When an American in the Middle East was shown a beautiful farm, he said in
amazement: “Look, what a wonderful thing is possible if God and man cooperate.” The farm
owner said: “You should have seen the farm when you were running God alone.” God
expects us to work hard and honestly. He helps those who help themselves.
Exercise 18
Exercise 19
Still, I do not believe that it is better than the fate of those who manage to convince
themselves that they enjoy the book. What happens to them is terrible. Once they get in the
way, they have no taste at all. They do not know what they think. His real feelings, his real
tastes are all locked in a sense of duty, which tells him that whatever Mr. Thingmobub or
Miss suggests in his name is good and that is why he Like
This has happened to a very good number of men and women I know. They do not know
what is good. They only know what is considered good. They do not know what they like.
They only know what they like. If you show them a book or a picture, if you play them a
piece of music or a record on a gramophone, you see them desperately trying to identify it if
it’s music and the author’s name. Quickly see if this is a book to see. Because, unless they
look at the label, they don’t know if they should like it or not. Give them something without a
label, and they’ve lost.
Exercise 20
You can’t take a good book like its medicine. This is rude to the book and very stupid from
your point of view. Reaching it this way ensures that you lose whatever it gives you. You
only start to get better at a book when your spirit and the spirit of the book come together.
The book is like a living person. You should meet him as a friend, and if there is any good
between you, act like him.
One of the reasons people read books at school is to please their teacher. The teacher says
that this, that, or another good book and enjoying it is a sign of good taste. So many boys and
girls, anxious to please their teacher, get the book and read it. Two or three of them may like
it or they will agree that they like it. And it does a lot of damage. People who don’t like the
book run the risk of two things happening to them. Suppose the book is David Copperfield –
either he abandons the idea of classic novels, or he dislikes Dickens, and firmly decides he
will never waste his time in any way: They will have a guilty conscience. After all, they feel
they don’t like what they should like and so there’s something wrong with them.
And yet India, with all its poverty and degradation, had a great deal of dignity and greatness
about it, and although it was overwhelmed by the old tradition and the present misery, and its
eyelids were a little tired, its “A beauty is carved from within the body, of strange thoughts
and wonderful expressions and strong emotions, a little cell through the cell. Behind his
tormented body, one can still glimpse the greatness of the soul.” In his longevity, he had
gathered a lot of wisdom along the way, and smuggled in strangers and included them in his
own large family, and witnessed the day’s splendor and strife. During her long journey, she
clung to her ancient culture, drawing strength and vitality from it and sharing it with other
countries.
Exercise 22
The disappointing performance of Indian athletes in the Barcelona Olympics has been
criticized by everyone else. It has also been debated in Parliament. The Minister of State for
Sports, Mamata Banerjee, has been asked to accept responsibility for her poor performance
and resign. It is also suggested that India should not participate in international sports until
international standards are met.
Undoubtedly, it is a surprise and a disappointment to us that for a country that came empty-
handed from our Olympic Games, when countries like China, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Kenya,
and Suriname have performed so well. But will our non-participation in international sports
help the cause of sports in India?
It’s time to dump her and move on. What is our attitude towards sports? Are there any parents
in the country who want their child to become a sportsperson for the first time? At what stage
do our athletes begin to prepare for national and international events? What about sports
politics?
It is a tragedy that we underestimate the importance of sports. That’s when we lose, there’s a
lot of talks. The development of Indian athletes begins much later, while in countries such as
Japan, China, Russia, and South Korea, children begin to practice from the first year of age.
The Sports Minister has admitted that sports are being affected by politics. Who will end
politics? Unless qualified players are sent to participate in international competitions, we
cannot do well.
Exercise 23
After the securities scandal, India’s financial system will emerge stronger and healthier, a by-
product of weakening internal controls in banks.
Although the securities scandal is, unfortunately, a hindrance, it has absolutely nothing to do
with the economic reform process initiated by the government. The scams point to the need
for and strengthening oversight arrangements. India had a highly organized but governing
banking system. Over the years, a growing proportion of bank deposits have been invested in
low-yielding government securities.
In addition, 40% of bank credit has to be earmarked for priority sectors, which include
various elements of different incentives. Banks thus became an unconventional means of
improving their profits, which, in the absence of an effective control mechanism and
collusion between some bank officials and stock market operators, led to the diversion of
bank funds into the stock market. ۔
The scandal, which appears to be taking place under tight control, reinforces the issue of
financial sector reform.
The power of the people under the leadership of the Leader of the People and the
Parliamentarians have brought India to its present position and power.
We are proud of the wealth of kisses, young men, laborers, our artisans, and talented and
dedicated men and women compared to the rest of the world.
Terrorism that betrayed the drug trade perpetrated atrocities on innocent children, women,
and men under the guise of religion. We must reaffirm our solidarity with the families of the
victims and end this scourge.
The true meaning and value of secularism need to be defined in India’s pluralistic society and
while maintaining the ancient traditions of tolerance and understanding. Amidst the vast
diversity of terrestrial nature, climate, race, languages, local traditions, and customs, people
need to understand India’s high values of national unity and solidarity that blend all its
diverse elements. Is.
The concepts of social justice, democracy, and the rule of law must be respected in the
revenue that has yet to be decided on the distribution and ownership of wealth.
Exercise 25
Modern agricultural chemical fertilizers and pesticides have harmed humanity. When a
farmer sprays chemical fertilizers in the field, the process rejects the soil because chemical
fertilizers have a destructive tendency to take more water and reduce soil productivity.
When fertilizer is re-applied in the same field, the farmer has to increase the feed by at least
10 to 20 percent. Thus the soil and drinking water are polluted.
Nutrients escape from the fields and are found in excess in rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. It
affects plants and animals. Nitrogen chemical fertilizers cause more damage because they
damage the ozone layer in the atmosphere.
Numerous pesticides, “dozens of filths” banned in other countries, are being used and
misused here. Residues of toxins in these fertilizers and pesticides travel to our bodies along
with the food grains we consume. Which is causing concern everywhere.
Food fermentation is being misrepresented to help reduce food insecurity and feed millions of
starving people in the Third World.
Bhabha Atom Research Center, Bombay has standardized irradiation technology for the
protection of defective agricultural commodities such as potatoes, onions, cereals, fruits, and
spices.
Radiation is expensive and affects the quality of food and the environment. According to a
report from a study by the National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, feeding fresh
undeclared wheat to malnourished children has caused genetic abnormalities in the blood
cells of children while it has also affected normal wheat. There seems to be no problem. Once
the children were removed from unnecessary food, blood samples returned to normal.
Numerous scientific studies have raised questions about the safety of eating unconscious
foods. These studies conclude that gamma radiation affects fertility, depletes vitamins and
minerals and that the growth of natural cancer-causing agents is called aflatoxin and some
bacteria.
Food irradiation is a technology in which food is fed through a beam of ionizing radiation
from radioactive sources or machines to prevent or sterilize food or to stop mountain insects
and micro-organisms present in the food. It has been described as an unused weapon against
hunger. But several consumer health and environmental organizations, even the European
Parliament, have opposed the move on the grounds of safety.
Exercise 27
On this special afternoon, when they ate their cold meat and salad and the heat, the windows
and doors were open, but the three of them were still inside the house. The storm wasn’t as
bad as it used to be – and there was talk of lightning with a lot of thunder, but it’s still
whirling around and thundering. So there was no point in going out until it stopped. James,
who loved tennis, stood far away from the window, at his service, just swinging his racquet
and not using balls. And it’s ridiculously talked about. While reading a book about
astronomers or space travel or something like that, Robin was doing his best on the degraded
wreckage of the sofa. He was so mad at this thing that he was hardly on the ground except at
mealtimes. Peg herself was sitting at a small table facing the window, but at the opposite end
of the room, trying to write a poem, which she often did when she couldn’t go out.
She was not doing very well. Thunder suddenly clapped loudly, deciding to start again, so she
looked up and spoke louder. “Shut up Doo!”
James then goes through a verse. “Another poem?” He asked in an ascending tone. Then
when Peg ignored him: “About wanting to be a tree again?”
But when it comes to leisure, we don’t think about saving time or opportunity. We have a lot
of time on our hands, and the problem is how to fill it. Opportunity no longer indicates a
place to escape the pressures of events. Rather, it is a vast emptiness for which we have to
invent a profession. Li-sure is a vacuum, a desperate state of space. Mind and body space. It
is commanded by sociologists and psychologists: it is a problem.
Exercise 29
It only happens when the entertainment is active, participates in it, exercises it, it can be
properly called a game, and so it is a natural use of entertainment. In this sense, sport stands
in contrast to work and is generally perceived as an activity that is replaced by work. From
here, things get trickier, and this is where the true meaning of burning up bad psychic
imprints comes into play.
It seems that all these professionals have nothing in common, except that they use our time,
and leave us little time.
