f) Tensile device for dynamic ozone deterioration test The tensile device is made of a material that is difficult for ozone to decompose
(e.g., stainless steel mesh, aluminum, etc.), and the test piece is placed in the tensile device without tensile strain (0% tensile strain).
A device that can apply the maximum tensile strain of the selected tensile strain when it is attached to the reciprocating motion is
used.
The tensioning device has a pair of upper and lower test piece grips, one end of which is fixed and the other end of which moves up
and down in a sine wave. The reciprocating motion is in the same direction as the gas flow, the upper and lower grips move in parallel on
the same plane, and the distance between the grips is the shortest and there is no strain (0 strain). , it shall be the one that gives the
specified maximum tensile strain at the longest length. The frequency of reciprocating motion shall be (0,5 ± 0,025) Hz (30 ± 1,5 times per
minute).
The grips shall be capable of securing the specimen against slippage and shall be equipped with controls to allow the specimen
to be accurately mounted.
The tensioning device shall be capable of maintaining the specimen in a position such that the longitudinal direction of the specimen and the
direction of gas flow are parallel when installed in the bath. When the tensioning device is mechanically rotated in order to uniformly expose the
test piece to the gas, the rotation of the tensioning device follows a circular trajectory.
6 Calibration of test equipment
Calibration of the test equipment shall be in accordance with Annex B.
7 test piece
7.1 General
The shape and dimensions of the test piece shall be in accordance with 7.2 or 7.3.
A test piece shall be prepared from a molded sheet or product in accordance with JIS K 6250. There shall be no flaws on the surface of
the specimen. Do not evaluate ozone resistance on cut or polished surfaces. The comparison of different materials is valid only for
evaluating the surfaces of test specimens prepared by the same method.
At each test condition, the number of test pieces shall be at least 3.

Place aluminum foil or other suitable material between the formed sheets until the test piece is taken to prevent hand contact and to
keep the test piece surface clean. The gripping part of the extension jig that gives the tensile strain of the test piece and the vicinity
thereof shall be covered with an appropriate material that is not affected by ozone and the extension jig is not slippery, and the
extension jig is attached to the covered part. Good to install.
Static ozone aging tests at several different static strains (crack initiation time measurement or critical strain and critical strain
measurement) consisted of a circular specimen strained over a continuous range of elongation. can be used. This method yields test
results that are nearly equivalent to those of standard specimens when critical strain measurements are used. In addition, a rectangular
specimen can be bent into a loop to provide a continuous range of elongation to a single specimen.
7.2 A wide range of specimens
Use strips with a smooth surface that are 40 mm or more in length (between grips), about 10 mm in width, and (2.0 ± 0.2) mm in
thickness.
The ends of the specimens attached to the stretching jig shall be protected with an ozone-resistant lacquer. Solvents
contained in lacquers must not swell the vulcanizate and thermoplastic rubber. Silicone grease shall not be used for this
protection. Alternatively, if the end of the test piece is processed (e.g. handle-shaped), it should not be subject to excessive
stress concentration and the grip of the test piece should not be destroyed during the ozone deterioration test. There must be.
7.3 Narrow specimens
Use an I-shaped flat part with a parallel part length of 50 mm, width (2.0 ± 0.2) mm and thickness (2.0 ± 0.2) mm, and a grip part
of 6.5 mm square (see Fig. 3). ). This test piece shall not be used for the fracture condition observation method.
A test piece specified in JIS K 6251 may be used.

7.3A Collection and preparation of test pieces
Sampling and preparation of test pieces shall be in accordance with 8. (Sampling and preparation of test pieces) of JIS K 6250.
7.3B Measurement of test piece thickness and width
The thickness and width of the test piece shall be measured according to JIS K 6250 10. (Method of measuring dimensions).
7.3C Marking method for tensile strain measurement
The gauge lines for tensile strain measurement shall be 20 mm or 40 mm apart and shall be marked so as not to
affect the test results. In addition, the central part of the test piece must be accurately attached as the center.
8 conditioning
8.1 Conditioning without tensile strain
In all tests, the time from vulcanization or molding to applying strain shall be at least 16 hours. For non-product tests, the
time from vulcanization or molding to straining shall be within 4 weeks as much as possible.
The name has changed due to the revision of the law on July 1, 2019. Except for the preface, read "Japanese Industrial Standards" in this standard as "Japanese Industrial Standards".

In the test of test pieces taken from the product, the time from vulcanization or molding to straining shall be within 3 months or
within 2 months after receipt as much as possible.
