2.Notes for PC Upgrade with AFtool


2.1 Upgrade process after changing mainboard
After replace a new MB, please refer to follow steps to bind old IMEI:
⚫ Click “AT command tool” in AFTool. Then click “Debugging port” in Development debug and link the phone to PC.
When it shows Connected, we input old IMEI in the blank (Old IMEI is the original one in the phone),then click “Bind”
to bind old IMEI as below(If the tool pops up a message of “can not find the OEM package”,please flash the phone
once again).
⚫ If it is successful, the phone will reboot automatically.

⚫ After writing IMEI,test it OK. Then go to Settings- >System- >Reset options- > Delete all data (factory reset),it can
remove the OEM package and apps package.

Notes:
If IMEI is illegal or binded, there will be a prompt that we cannot bind it
Before changing motherboard,please record the custom type(MM/IN/ID…). Make sure that the country code is same
with the previous after binding IMEI

2.2 Update software normally


After flash and test it OK. Then go to Settings- >System- >Reset options- > Delete all data (factory reset),it can
remove the OEM package and apps package. (please refer to 2.1c)

2.3 Notes for Network Operator version


2.3.1 roduct(Network Operator version) may launch in TH/MY. Please refer to the following steps to repair this type of
smartphones.When the smartphone is locked as below,it is forbidden to repair this type of smartphone, otherwise there
will be a punishment according to relevant document. We need to guide these customers back to seller (Network operator)
to deal with their issues.
For this type of smartphone, customer needs to pay back before the due date, otherwise it will be locked as below.

2.3.2 If the smartphone is not locked, please repair it as normal. When bind IMEI, we need to make sure that IMEI is right
2.3.3 How to recognize product for Network Operator version(TH/MY)

Method 1:Call *#225# and check Custom type. When the Custom type is TH,DTAC/ TH,AIS/ TH,TRUE/ MY,DIGI or
MY,MAXIS, it is (TH/MY) for Network Operator version

Method 2:We can search Product Description in Customer service management system according to IMEI
The following picture means it is Network Operator version

3.Disassembly/assembly guidance and Maintenance notes


Common notes:
⚫ be make sure ESD is pass firstly, electrostatic mat、equipment connect ground performance are well, wear anti-static
clothing and anti-static ring;
⚫ Place the mobile phone on the heating platform at 80 ° C for 5 minutes when use heating platform disassemble
battery cover; if Camera Module bulge, don’t place bulge part on the platform;
⚫ Rubbing must avoid USB、earphone connector、SIM tray、sidekey、fingerprint FPC、touch point on the mainboard and
sub board when disassemble battery cover;
⚫ Please take attention to dust prevention, don’t touch camera lens and inside of camera decorative ring glass;
⚫ Please keep battery protect board on the battery when assembly &disassembly screws or battery placed alone;
⚫ The removed screws must be placed in categories, and install screws according to the screw position mark, to prevent
the screw damages LCM module;
⚫ Do not touch the touch point on the mainboard or sub board, to prevent touch point distortion;
⚫ FPC don’t fold when assembly;
⚫ Please keep battery interface and groove clean up when assemble battery and battery cover;
⚫ The damaged auxiliary must be changed, and do not miss auxiliary assembly.

3.2.1 Description of plugging holes for air tightness detection
When perform the air tightness test, it is necessary to stick the 2 holes below with either high mucous membrane/high
temperature adhesive paper /PET to test

3.2.2 Battery cover repair guidance


There is a halo light FPC on the back cover of the battery cover connected to the mainboard. As shown in the figure, the
distance of the disassembly piece in the FPC line area is not allowed to exceed 5mm to avoid damaging the FPC.
As shown in the figure below, there is a small amount of glue in the yellow area of the battery cover. The disassembly piece
cannot be used for glue in the helo light bracket area to avoid damaging the halo light group.

3.2.3 Camera identification method:

1. Appearance distinction: The portrait camera has a larger lens periphery and a longer lens length than the wide-angle
camera.
2. Coding distinction: The camera BTB has laser engraved numbers. According to the laser engraved numbers, the portrait
camera: 564, the wide-angle camera: 630/548.

3.2.4 Screw removal


⚫ When removing the screws, the battery protection block must be placed on the battery. The battery protection block
must also be placed on the removed battery to prevent damage to the battery.
⚫ The removed screws must be placed in categories and installed according to the screw removal mark to prevent the
screw holes from being pierced and causing damage to the screen.
⚫ BOM, quantity and corresponding physical location diagram of different types of screws (note that the battery
position must be protected by a clamp)

3.2.5 Mainboard bracket removal: Please remove along the removal opening to the right

3.2.6 FK board removal and key removal


⚫ FK board removal: The FK board contacts are under the main board. Please remove the main board first, and then use
a flat-blade screwdriver to lift the FK board bracket from the following position.

⚫ Side button removal: The side button bracket is covered by PET. Please remove it before disassembly, and then use a
flat-head screwdriver to lift the FK board bracket from the following position.

3.2.7 Disassembly of LED-FPC assembly


⚫ Remove the screws of the camera decorative ring bracket. If the bracket is difficult to disassemble, you can drop a
small amount of alcohol to disassemble it.
⚫ Disassemble the LED-FPC according to the disassembly port as shown in the figure. You can use a flathead screwdriver
to pry up vertically to remove the LED board bracket
⚫ The track version (fiberglass battery cover) does not have a camera decorative ring PET heat dissipation film

3.2.8 Disassembly of the camera decorative ring assembly


⚫ Drip alcohol along the inner and outer circles of the decorative ring and let it stand for 30 seconds.
⚫ Use a disassembly card to insert the gap and cut the connection between the decorative ring and the battery cover.
⚫ The camera decorative ring of the track version is glued and cannot be replaced separately after sales. Please replace
the battery cover assembly directly.
⚫ The track version (fiberglass battery cover) does not have a PET heat dissipation film on the camera decorative ring.

3.2.9 Motherboard disassembly and assembly


⚫ After replacing the motherboard, pay attention to switch the IMEI information in the system.
⚫ The motherboard disassembly port and BTB disassembly port are shown in the figure below. Please pay attention to
disassembly in the direction indicated by the arrows on each BTB on the motherboard, otherwise it is easy to damage
the components around the motherboard BTB.
⚫ The front camera and portrait camera BTB have conductive cloth bonded to the motherboard. Please tear it off and
replace it in time.

3.2.10 Mainboard BTB Function Interface

FMA functions: USB data, headphone function, main MIC function, charging path, speaker function, motor function, SIM
card function, display & touch function.

3.2.11 Instructions for using thermal conductive gel


⚫ When replacing the motherboard/display assembly with the motherboard cover of this model, you need to reapply
thermal conductive gel. The dispensing path can refer to the figure below. After disassembly, the coverage area
should not be less than 70% of the chip area. (Material code: 5121794)
