UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 is a cement-based,

high performance precision grout is used where it is
essential to withstand loads. It is developed by using
special additives & selected fillers. It is recommended
for grouting with design strength of min 65 MPa.

Specification
Conforms to ASTM C1107 (Standard Specification for packaged dry, Hydraulic Cement Grout (Non-Shrink)) & Technical Parameters
designed with the following testing standards: ASTM C 109, ASTM 307, ASTM C 940, ASTM C 469, ASTM C 348, IS 4031, BS 4551.

UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 ideally can be used in foundation base plates, heavy machinery foundations, micro-piles, pile caps, shear
wall & bond beams, foundation of turbines, compressor, boilers, feed pumps, etc.; anchoring of a wide range of fixings, bolts, heavy structural
post.

Method of Application
Surface Preparation
Prepare the surface before the application of UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 by removing oil, bond inhibiting agents, dirt,
dust, laitance with suitable methods like by using wire brush, water jetting, mopping, etc.
Properly check reinforcement and other elements to be grouted as per the structural requirements before placing UltraTech
POWERGROUT NS65.
The shuttering to be leak-proof and without any gaps or loose material to ensure nil leakage while using UltraTech
POWERGROUT NS65.
It is recommended to apply UltraTech SEAL & DRY 5 PLUS over the old and new reinforcement bars, metal areas and over
old-new concrete joints before grouting.

Mixing
UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 The quantity of potable water required to be added to a 25kg bag to achieve
the desired consistency is given below: Pourable: 16.5% Flowable: 18%
Add UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 to the measured quantity of water while continuously stirring using a
mechanical mixing device min 400 - 500 rpm at slow speed. Mix until a thick lump free consistency is achieved.
Allow the mix to stand for 2 minutes to mature and then mix it again before use.
Do not add more water to alter the mix consistency or to extend the pot life. Further water addition will hamper
the strength and adhesion properties of UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65.
For thicker sections it is necessary to fill out UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 with well graded silt free aggregate
to minimise heat build - up. Typically, a 10mm aggregate is suitable. 50 - 100% aggregate by weight of UltraTech
POWERGROUT NS65 can be added.
Application
Ensure that there is no standing water before the grout is poured and the surface is in SSD condition.
Pour/pump the mixed UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 to be prepared substrate using appropriate
pouring/pumping technique within 30 minutes of mixing.
Curing is required only for exposed areas.
UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 should not be vibrated with any mechanical vibrator as it is
self-compacting. Any external vibration will segregate the mix and might impact the product performance
from the designed properties.

UltraTech POWERGROUT NS65 is non-toxic. Use of gloves and Industrial grout - NS1, NS2, NS3
goggles recommended. Any splashes to the skin or eyes Tile Adhesive & Tile Grout – TILEFIXO and TILEFIXO GROUT
should be washed off with clean water immediately. Plaster & Jointing Mortar – SUPER STUCCO BASEKRETE and FIXOBLOCK
In case of prolonged irritation, medical advice should be sought.

Note
Allow a minimum of 24 hours for the subsequent usage. It is recommended to use UltraTech POWERGROUT NS 65 when temperature is between
20oC to 35oC, hot weather concreting guidelines to be followed.
When the air or contact surface temperatures are 10oC or below, warm water (30 – 40oC) is recommended to accelerate strength
development.
High temperature working at ambient temperatures above 40oC, cool water (below 20oC) should be used for mixing the grout prior
to placement.
