1. Course Description
This part of the course will cover pre-trial conduct, commencement of proceedings, issue and service
of court process or documents, parties to suits, Cause of action, pleadings and Appearance.

2. Course Objectives
The course is intended to enable the student to draw out the main principles underlying civil
litigation and to consider criticisms to the present system.

*The subject will be valuable to prospective litigation lawyers. The current position in the legal
profession is that no lawyer can enter the world of litigation without the knowledge of the subject’s
new principles and the modern emphasis upon human rights in the legal process.
