Whales, the largest animals on earth, belong to a family of mammals known as cetaceans. Unlike fish,
whales are mammals, which breathe air and give birth to offspring. Scientists believe that they evolved
from land mammals with four legs, though they are now supremely adapted to underwater life. They
have excellent hearing and their lungs are two to three times more efficient than those of land mammals
at inhaling air. Whales have collapsible ribcages, which assist them with deep diving, and they have
layers of insulating fat, called blubber, to protect them from the cold.
Whales are difficult creatures to study because they are long-lived, reproduce slowly and most are highly
migratory. Pacific Gray whales, for example, migrate from Alaska to Mexico every year, traveling about
20,000 kilometers annually. Most whales live to approximately 40 years of age, though others, such as
the Fin, can live to be 90. Bowhead whales may be especially long-lived. In 1993, a large male whale
killed by the Alaskan Inuit was found to have been carrying in its flesh a stone harpoon point. Since this
kind of harpoon is not known to have been in use after 1900, it suggests that some individual whales of
this type may live around the 100-year mark.

In today's fast-paced world, leisure time has taken on a transformative role, influenced significantly by
advances in technology and changing societal norms.
Digital innovation has redefined the concept of leisure, with many people turning to screens for
relaxation and entertainment. Streaming services, social media, and video games have
become prominent sources of leisure, offering an array of options for personal enjoyment. However,
this digital transformation has also given rise to concerns about screen addiction and disconnection
from the physical world.
Balancing this digital leisure, there is a growing movement towards more mindful and active forms of
relaxation. Outdoor activities, exercise, and nature-based experiences are increasingly popular choices
for leisure time, as people seek to escape the confines of screens and engage with the real world. This
trend reflects a broader desire for balance and well-being in a world that often feels overwhelmingly
fast-paced.
Moreover, leisure time in today's world is deeply influenced by a global perspective. Travel has become
more accessible, and cultural exchange is a significant part of leisure activities, as people seek to broaden
their horizons and experience diverse cultures.

course of your life and influencing your decision-making process. Long-term goals require advance

Anxiety is a common issue in children, adolescents, and teens, often experienced at different phases of
development. Anxiety disorders can be first diagnosed in children between the ages of four and eight,
while a recent survey found that about 32% of adolescents in the U.S. have an anxiety disorder, a number
that has substantially increased over the years. The study also revealed that one in four to five
adolescents has a severe disability related to their anxiety disorder. The COVID-19 pandemic has
heightened anxiety in children and teens, with disruptions in their normal routines in school, family life,
ẫnd relẫtionships with peers. It’s not ẫlwẫys eẫsy to recognize the difference between normẫl worries
and anxiety disorders in children and teens, particularly in these stressful times. For example, young
people often worry about their schoolwork or taking exams, but this is usually temporary once the
immediẫte stressor hẫs pẫssed. However, if worrying becomes constẫnt ẫnd interferes with ẫ child’s
daily functioning, it can negatively affect their overall quality of life.
The good news is that anxiety is a highly treatable condition. There is also a great deal parents can do to
help their children. Rather than assume that the child will outgrow their anxiety, it’s better to stẫrt tẫking
steps as soon as possible to help their children deal with their symptoms and regain control of how they
view the world around them.

higher income than growing rice.

If you think of the jobs robots could never do, you would probably put doctors and teachers at the top of
the list. It's easy to imagine robot cleaners and factory workers, but some jobs need human connection
and creativity. But are we underestimating what robots can do? In some cases, they already perform
better than doctors at diagnosing illnesses. Also, some patients might feel more comfortable sharing
personal information with a machine than with a person. Could there be a place for robots in education
after all?
British education expert Anthony Seldon thinks so. And he even has a date for the robot takeover of the
classroom: 2027. He predicts robots will do the main job of transferring information and teachers will
be like assistants. Intelligent robots will read students' faces, movements, and maybe even brain signals.
Then they will adapt the information to each student. It's not a popular opinion and it's unlikely that
robots will ever have empathy and the ability to connect with humans like another human can.
One thing is certain, though. A robot teacher is better than no teacher at all. In some parts of the world,
there aren't enough teachers and 9-16 percent of children under the age of 14 don't go to school. That
problem could be partly solved by robots because they can teach anywhere and won't get stressed, tired,
or move somewhere for an easier, higher-paid job.

One of the greatest security threats in the online world is computer hacking. Hackers are people who
illegally enter systems. They may alter or delete information, steal private information, or spread
viruses that can damage or destroy files. But how exactly can a hacker get into a system to do these
things?
Most hackers use information called protocols that are built into computer software. These protocols
allow computers to interact with one another. Protocols are sort of like computer police officers. When
a computer connects to another system, the protocols check to see if the access is valid. The protocols
can also determine how much information can be shared between the two systems. Hackers can
57
manipulate the protocols to get unlimited access to a computer system.
In fact, just the act of entering a computer network is commonly considered passive hacking. Passive
hackers get a rush from just being able to access a challenging system like a bank or military network.
Another kind of hacker tries to do damage to a system. After hacking into systems, these hackers release
viruses or alter, delete, or take the information. Known as active hackers, they are the more dangerous
of the two.
The easiest way to protect a system is with a good password. Long and unusual passwords are harder
for hackers to guess. For even greater security, some online services now use "password-plus" systems.
In this case, users first put in a password and then put in a second code that changes after the
user accesses the site. Users either have special cards or devices that show them new codes to use the
next time. Even if a hacker steals the password, they won't have the code. Or if the hacker somehow gets
the code, they still don't know the password.

departure, holidaymakers need to update information about the destination including method of
payment, visa, and other specific requirements. Bigger lunches and lighter evening meals are economical
in that lunches are generally cheaper. Sufficient identification must be available. An email sending a copy
