“MINI Horse Piem”

Materials

- 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook

- 5 different yarns calling for 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- soft stuffing
- 2 safety eyes 6 mm

MINI Horse Piem turns out at a size of 11 cm with the yarn I used (sockyarn). If you are using yarn
with a different gauge the doll measurements will change. In that case you have to correct the eyes-
size.

Yarns

Sand for the head, body, arms and legs,

Regia Uni 4-ply, color: 17 (+/- 40 gr)
White for the mane, arms and legs,
Regia Uni 4-ply, color: 1992
Brown for the arms and legs,

Legs

Make a loop with brown.

After stuffing the leg sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st (sc 4) after it’s done cut the yarn while you ensure to leave
enough yarn to sew the legs onto the body. Make another one. Place the legs between round 3 and 5 of the body
(see photo for reference).

Horseshoes:
Make with gold yarn a foundation chain of 12.
Start in the 2th ch from hook and work:

Arms
Make a loop with brown.

Ears
Make a loop with sand.

Headcollar
The headcollar has two parts. The part around the muzzle and the part around the head.

Part around the muzzle:

Make with purple yarn a foundation chain of 23.
Cut the yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to attach the piece onto the head.

Part around the head:

Make with purple yarn a foundation chain of 27.
Cut the yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to attach the piece onto the head.

Mane

Cut of sand colored yarn strands about 10 cm tall. Knot the threads 1 by 1 onto the head.
Use 2 threads at the time. Begin between the ears and work down to the back of the head (knot 3 wires side by
side). For a fluffy effect, you can comb the mane with a tooth comb.

Tail
In the same way knot 3 wires of sand colored yarn (10 cm approx) side by side on row 6-8 of the body.

Eyespots
Make a loop with black.

Round:

Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the pieces onto the head. Make another one. Place the
spots between round 10 of the muzzle and round 14 of the head with 4 sc between. (see photo’s for reference).

When the eyespots are sewn on the head remove the filling. Place safety eyes 1 row above the snout and 3 rows
from the edge of the eyespot. When its done fill the head again and continue with round 22 of the head.

Body
Make a loop with white.

Ears
Make a loop with pink.

Inside ear (make 2 of them)

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. 1 sc, 2sc inc, 1 sc, 2sc inc, 1 hdc, 2dc inc,
1 hdc, 2sc inc, 1 sc, 2sc inc, 1 sc,
2sc inc (18 sts)

Break yarn.

Outside ear (make 2 of them)

Use the instructions above to make a similar piece
with green yarn, but this time: DON’T BREAK YARN. To connect the both pieces turn wrong sides together and
work the following round: Start in the 3th sc of the pink piece (see picture 1).
5x (2 sc, 1 hdc + 1 dc + 1 hdc in next st), 3 sc.
From here: sc the 2 opposed st together (4 sc).

Break yarn and leave enough yarn to sew the ears onto the head. Place the ears between round 15 and 19.

Make a loop with green.

Round:

Spikes
Make with pink yarn a foundation chain of 50. Start in the 2th ch from hook and work:
1 slst, 1 sc + 1 hdc in next ch, 2 dc in next ch, 1 hdc + 1 sc in next ch (repeat 11 x). Close with a slst.
Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to fix the spikes onto the body.
Start with the tail land work up to the head.

Flower
Make with creme a foundation chain of 7 and close with a slst.
Round:
1. 2 ch, 2 hdc in the loop, 3 ch, *3 hdc, 3 ch* repeat 4 x and close with a slst.
2. in the open spaces work: *sc, 2 dc, tc, 2 dc, sc* repeat 5x

- 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- 3 different yarns calling for 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook

- 2 safety eyes 6 mm

MINI Fox Victor turns out at a size of 11 cm with the yarn I used (sockyarn). If you are choose other yarn
with smaller ore bigger gauge the dolls measurements will change. So you have to correct the eyes-size.

Yarns

Regia Tweed 4-ply, color 9065 (+/- 50 gr)
Black for the legs, ears and tail,
