ENGLISH 4
Directions: Read and understand the literary text below. Answer the
questions that follow and choose the letter of the correct answer.

"The Little Green Frog"

Once upon a time, in a small, peaceful pond, lived a little green frog named
Lily. She spent her days jumping from lily pad to lily pad, singing joyful songs,
and watching the butterflies dance in the sunlight. One morning, Lily noticed a
group of her friends gathered near the pond’s edge, whispering excitedly.

Curious, she hopped over and asked, “What’s going on?”

“We’ve heard that a new pond has opened far beyond the forest, and it’s filled
with the most beautiful flowers and clear, sparkling water,” one of her friends
said. “It’s the perfect place to play!”

Lily thought about it for a moment. She loved her pond and her friends, but the
idea of exploring something new intrigued her. So, she decided to embark on
an adventure to find the new pond. Along the way, she met many animals, and
with each step, she learned something new about the world around her.
Finally, after a long journey, she reached the new pond. It was indeed
beautiful, but as she sat by the water, she realized that there was no place like
her old home.

Lily returned to her pond, where she was welcomed with open arms by her
friends. She learned that while exploring new places is exciting, there is no
place like home.
