1. Các thì về hiện tại:

2. Các thì về quá khứ:

Quá khứ + Hành động đã xảy ra và chấm + ago/ last
đơn dứt trong quá khứ. + yesterday
+ hồi ức, kỷ niệm + in + 2023...
Quá khứ + hành động xảy ra cùng lúc + at this/ that time
tiếp diễn + hành động đang xảy ra (qktd) + giờ + quá khứ (9pm yesterday)
=> hành động khác chen vào

Quá khứ + hành động xảy ra xong trước
hoàn thành hành động khác (bố của bố)

3. Các thì về tương lai (mẹo: nhớ tương tự các thì hiện tại)
Tương lai + hành động sẽ xảy ra trong + tomorrow
đơn tương lai + next
+ soon
Tương lai + hành động diễn ra tại thời điểm + giờ + tương lai
tiếp diễn cụ thể trong tương lai + at this/ that time + tương lai (at this time next
week...)

Tương lai + hành động sẽ được hoàn thành + by + ....

hoàn thành trước khi hành động khác
4. Các cấu trúc/ dấu hiệu hay thấy trong đề:
a. When:
+ Trường hợp 1: chỉ 2 hành động nối tiếp nhau:
When S + V (quá khứ đơn), S + V (quá khứ đơn).
+ Trường hợp 2: hành động đang xảy ra thì một hành động khác xen vào.
When/ While S + V (quá khứ tiếp diễn), S + V (quá khứ đơn)

b. After (sau)/ Before (trước):

+ After S + V (quá khứ hoàn thành), S + V (quá khứ đơn)
+ Before S +V (quá khứ đơn), S + V (quá khứ hoàn thành)

c. By the time => luôn chia thì có chữ “hoàn thành” (qkht, tlht)
+ By the time + S + V (quá khứ đơn), S + V (quá khứ hoàn thành)
+ By the time + S + V (hiện tại đơn), S + V (tương lai hoàn thành)

d. As soon as: hành động nối tiếp nhau:

+ Quá khứ: As soon as + S + V (quá khứ đơn), S + V (quá khứ đơn)
(mẹo nhớ: nhớ giống trường hợp 1 phần a ở trên)
+ Tương lai: As soon as + S +V (hiện tại đơn/ hiện tại hoàn thành), S + V (tương lai đơn)
