to preserve the quality of seedlings
a way of increasing the production of trees and fruit-bearing trees
LUMBER- Processed wood from planted trees that is used to construct houses for man and animals
TREE- are erect plants with single woody stem and it plays a very important role in our ecological balance.
Trees cause erosion Not benefits in planting trees and fruit-bearing trees.
Trees take in carbon dioxide from factories and motorized vehicle emissions
SOIL EROSION- The root system of the trees holds water
JKN Fruit Farm- A well-known orchard that celebrate “MARADULA FESTIVAL “located at Talisay City, Negros Occidental
Communicate the Survey’s Purpose - Informing survey participants about the purpose and how data become useful in improving the
activities, products or services.

PRICKING-a way of transferring seedlings from one seed box to another to provide more space for proper development of seedling.
SEED GERMINATION-It is the development or growth of a seed into a young plant that influence harvest and the quality of tree products.
This process needs water or moisture, warmth, oxygen, and sunlight for seeds to grow in either a seed box, plastic container or other wrappers.
INDIRECT PLANTING- method of planting seeds directly into the ground or plot. These are seeds with high percentage of germination,
correct moisture content and free from seed pest, diseases, and other impurities
HARDENING -This process is done 7 to 15 days before transplanting, to make the tissue of the plants survive the rigors of transferring the
seedlings.
INSECTS AND PEST -These are to be avoided in attacking the trees. Just in case they manifest, control them by building a fire for smoke to
enter the leaves and stem naturally
MARKET DEMAND FOR FRUIT is an area to consider in planting fruit-bearing trees in line with growing health awareness and changing
lifestyles.
PROPER CARE OF THE PLANTS AND SOIL -element/factor in planting trees and fruit-bearing trees is being described by the following

Care plants and soil Add enough fertilizer
Select good seeds Choose the right place

SQUARE SYSTEM This is the simplest and easiest system of plantation. The trees are planted in four corners to keep the same
distance between rows and from plant to plant in the same row.
RECTANGULAR SYSTEM It is a system where trees are planted in same way as in a square system except that the distance between
rows will be more than the distance between plants in the same row
CONTOUR SYSTEM It is an imaginary line connecting all points of equal elevation across a slope
CONDUCT A SURVEY- Few common steps in the layout procedure for different system except one.
QUINCUNX SYSTEM -Basically, this system is the same as the square system except for the addition of a tree in the
middle of each square. The number of trees planted in the same area is almost double.
HEXAGONAL SYSTEM A system where the trees are planted at the corners of an equilateral triangle
FILLER- the additional tree in the center of a quincunx system
