CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

This AICTE activity was conducted by students of Malnad College of Engineering at GHPS Doddaginigere,
Shanthi Grama Hobli, Hassan Taluk, during two phases: from 21/11/2022 to 30/11/2022 and from
31/03/2023 to 08/04/2023. The main objective was to help local school students enhance their academic
skills, communication abilities, hygiene awareness, and understanding of higher education and safety
practices. The activity included educational sessions, interactive games, and cultural engagement through
music and dance to create a well-rounded learning environment.
CHAPTER 2

DETAILS OF ACTIVITIES

ACTIVITY HEAD 1 – Educational Support & Communication Skills

2.1 Overview

Sessions were conducted to teach grammar basics, improve spoken English, and build communication
confidence among students.

2.2 Use of Technology (if any)

Mobile phones and visual aids were used to explain grammar rules and spoken English through videos and
apps.

2.3 Sustainable Development Best Practices

Promoted SDG 4 – inclusive and equitable quality education through accessible language training.

ACTIVITY HEAD 2 – Health, Hygiene & Safety Awareness

2.1 Overview

Topics included personal hygiene, proper hand washing, and safety awareness, including good and bad
touch.

2.2 Use of Technology

Visuals and videos were used to educate students on hygiene practices and safety rules.

2.3 Sustainable Development Best Practices

Aligned with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being by promoting hygiene and personal safety.

ACTIVITY HEAD 3 – Creative Engagement & Cultural Fun


2.1 Overview

Students participated in singing and dancing activities to make the sessions enjoyable and foster emotional
well-being.

2.2 Use of Technology

Smartphones were used to play music and karaoke tracks to support the cultural activities.

2.3 Sustainable Development Best Practices

Promoted emotional well-being and creative expression as part of holistic education.


CHAPTER 3

OVERALL LEARNINGS

3.1 Innovative approaches taken: Blended learning, peer mentoring, and performance-based learning.
