TIPS FOR STUDY SKILLS.

 Highlight all legal principles identified in your readings and master how they are applied.

 Have the skill to differentiate between the ratio decidendi and the orbiter dictum in any

Law report you read.

 Brief cases in such a way you remember how to structure it back into a given set of facts

and don’t pile up the cases.

 Memorize relevant information which establish all principles you come across in your

reading.

 You need to develop the skill for critical thinking.

 Don’t be one sided in answering Essay questions even if you are to speak on a particular

side of the motion given.

 Manage your time and develop a study plan.

 Forming study groups. Join a group in order to acquire different levels of understanding

flowing from your colleagues about legal theories and principles been taught in class.
