CIRCULAR
It is to inform you that "Community Service Project(CSP)", introduced by Andhra Pradesh State Council of
Higher Education (APSCHE), which is mandatory for Under Graduate students under R23 regulations.

1. The Project work is supposed to address the needs of the society.

2. Students admitted in the academic year 2023 –24 must undertake an 8-week Community Service Project (CSP)
during the summer vacation after the completion of their second year.

3. The Community Service Project (CSP) will be evaluated during the V Semester External End
Examinations and will carry 2 credits.

Schedule for Community Service Project (CSP): Total Duration: 8 Weeks

1. Socio-Economic Survey of the Village/Habitation (2 Weeks):


A group of students, under the guidance of faculty mentors, will conduct a socio-economic survey of a
selected village or habitation. Students will interact with local residents to gain a basic understanding of the area
and the chosen project topic. The survey will be carried out using a structured questionnaire.

2. Community Awareness Campaign (1 Week):


Based on the findings from the socio-economic survey, the student group will organize awareness campaigns
to address identified issues or vulnerable areas in the community. Campaigns may include house-to-house visits
and activities on socially relevant themes such as:
• Government welfare programs
• Health care and hygiene
• Consumer protection
• Food adulteration
• Digital transactions
• Information dissemination

3. Main Project (4 Weeks):


The student group will select a topic relevant to their academic discipline and carry out a project involving
activities such as:
• Data collection
• Interviews
• Internship or fieldwork in a relevant unit, organization, or department

4. Report Preparation (1 Week):


At the end of the project, students must submit a detailed project report, duly signed by their faculty mentor.

Suggested Community Service Project(CSP) Domains:


Agriculture, Poultry business, Dairy business , Aquaculture , Women Safety, Health and hygiene , Irrigation,
Handicrafts, Nutrition and Food Habits, Horticulture, Air Pollution, Water pollution, Soil Pollution, Banking
services , Handlooms, Public transport, Usage of cell phones, Income distribution, Cyber Crimes and Safety
needs and Education.

NOTE: However the above list is not exhaustive, the students can also come up with new ideas.
