Mirzapur is an Indian Hindi-language action crime thriller web series created by Karan
Anshuman and Puneet Krishna for Amazon Prime Video. Produced by Excel Entertainment,
the series features an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Shweta
Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Set in the lawless town of
Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, the series explores themes of power, crime, family loyalty, and
revenge.
Plot
The story follows Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as 'Kaleen Bhaiya', a mafia don and
carpet exporter in Mirzapur. His power is challenged when two brothers, Guddu and Bablu
Pandit, become entangled in his world of crime. As they rise within the ranks of Kaleen
Bhaiya’s empire, conflicts escalate, resulting in betrayal, power struggles, and violent
confrontations. The second season intensifies the chaos as Guddu seeks revenge after
Bablu’s death, leading to brutal gang wars. With shifting alliances and mounting casualties,
Mirzapur portrays the descent into a world governed by violence and ambition.
