Introduction
One of my readers writes me a long letter in which they ask me for examples that
illustrate something that was stated some time ago regarding the academic dictionary.
I affirmed that this repertoire, with all its shortcomings, is a living dictionary;
illustrate what has been said with a term from current economic affairs. The vocabulary related to

the economy and commerce represents, as you know, one of the lexical parcels
with the highest number of accepted neologisms in recent years. It's curious how
in the first definitions offered for many of these new words go
later on being nuanced, without ruling out that even more may appear in the future
shaped. Let's see the promised example.
Body
One of the key terms in the global economy, in our time, is
inflation, pertinent to a lexical family whose root goes back to the action
the concrete meaning of 'inflate' which is nothing more than 'to swell something with air'. No
the figurative sense that the verb inflate can have is very modern, or
inflate, from 'to exaggerate, to bulge, something'; nor is it in its application
to people, with the value of 'getting conceited' or 'becoming proud', capable of
convert inflation into arrogance and vanity. All these values of
inflation, figurative concretes, have been in the dictionaries for a long time
a long time, but these have been losing importance in favor of
a single meaning, the economic one. The treatment given to this "meaning"
"economic" can be a good example of how vitality manifests itself.
from the Dictionary.
In the 1956 edition, inflation is not presented yet, as a technicality.
economical; it only has, in its third meaning, a figurative sense that
allows the use of inflation to refer to the 'excessive issuance of banknotes in
currency replacement" (Dictionary, 1956, p. 747). In the 1984 edition
this third meaning is identified as specific to Economics, and moreover,
The concept is needed: "Excess currency in circulation in relation to its
coverage, which triggers a general rise in prices" (Dictionary,
1984, p. 771). Note that, in this edition, the definition has a
technical character closest to our experience: it is said about
"cobertura", de "moneda circulante", de "alza de precios", expresiones y
economic concepts that were unknown a few decades ago.
If we go to the latest edition of the Dictionary (1992), the concept is much
better defined, for the understanding of the general public (which is the purpose of a
general non-specialized dictionary). See how it is presented now:
inflation is 'the increase in the general level of prices, motivated
usually due to the mismatch between demand and supply, with
monetary depreciation." (Dictionary, 1992, p. 822)

Conclusion
Let this example, among many that can be cited, serve to confirm that
a living dictionary not only incorporates new words but also revises
previous definitions in order to clarify the new meanings. For
a living dictionary, the adoption and incorporation of neologisms or
meanings is not something mechanical or definitive. In a living dictionary, everything
subject to rigorous successive revisions, until the adopted definition
conveys the meaning in a way that is accessible to the general public, to whom
a non-specialized dictionary is intended

I like to listen to a little bit of everything as long as it's not vulgar. Anyway, that's it.
Today's youth is not limited to one type of music, but rather we tend to
