BARANGAY EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 04-S-2022
AN ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COUNCIL COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Section 16 and 17 (iv) of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the Local
Gevernment Code of 1991, mandates Local Government Unit to ensure general welfare and
provision of basic services;
WHEREAS, The Local Government Code of 1991 prove for the meaningful participation of non-
government and people’s organization and the private sector in the local governance;
WHEREAS, the code institutionalizes this participation through the creation serve as advisory
and recommendatory bodies of every bodies of every province, cities and municipalities;
WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 89-47 provides for the organization of Barangay
Nutrition Committee;
WHEREAS, there is a need to organize this council following the election of barangay officials in
this compliance with the provisions set the forth in the Local Government Code of 1991;
NOW THEREFORE, I ARMANDO H. ALBANO, Punong Barangay of Larcon,. Bongabon, Nueva
Ecija by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order and direct the following;
SECTION 1. Composition, The Barangay Nutrition Council is hereby organized to be constituted
of the following;
Chairperson:: Armando H. Albano Punong Barangay
Vice Chairperson: Luis E. Bernardez Kagawad, Chairperson, Committee on
Health and Nutrition
Members: Almira Joy A. Pupa Barangay Nutrition Scholar
Kathlyn May V. Cayanga Barangay Midwife
Eliza P. Albano Barangay Health Worker
Cleoriza G. Icban Barangay Health Worker
Annaliza L. Bernardez Barangay Health Worker
Celina Joy S. Gordolan Barangay Health Worker
Ruffa L. Muncal Barangay Health Worker

SECTION 2. Functionalities:
1. Formulate a Barangay Nutrition Action Program;
2. Coordinate Nutrition activities of the barangay;
3. Create a spot map of the barangay;
4. Conduct operation timbang under the supervision of the RHU;
5. Organize specific groups to implement nutrition intervention activities and assess
program, and
6. Hold regular quarterly meetings to monitor program performance.
SECTION 3. Effectivity, This order shall take effect immediately.
