New Features
The following features have been added in this release of TIBCO Statistica®.
Analysis
l With Statistica 14.1.0, you can now view configurable display of decimal precision in
the output graph of control charts.
l An example workspace which demonstrates an approach of writing custom code to
implement Laney P Charts is added.
l Spreadsheet.ValueAsDateTime() is added to accompany IsDate/IsTime Spreadsheet
properties.
l In the PI Event Frames Search node, the following new checkboxes have been
introduced:
o Combined Event Frames: When selected, the character asterisk (*) is used in the
Event Frame output.
o Include Children Event Frame: When selected, the Event Frames list adds all
children event frames, even when the child event frame does not belong to the
search query.
Statistica Enterprise
l Objects in Statistica Enterprise can be approved more than once if there are multiple
users or multiple approval types required.
l Enhanced security precautions are implemented in an Enterprise API.
l Improved logging in Enterprise data extraction.
l You can now copy the Enterprise path to clipboard from the Enterprise Explorer
menu without needing to launch Enterprise Manager.
l Additional information from Object Summary is displayed on the Data Entry object
report.
l Support for StartTLS is added and can be configured for Statistica Enterprise emails.
Statistica Service
With Statistica Service, you can now optimize the default Python engine when running
stat.exe.
Data Entry
l A new option can be enabled in Data Entry to configure any IMR characteristic to
have variable sample sizes.
l Performance improvements for system view upon initial user login.
l In addition to having a second user provide an approval for sample deletions, you
also can require an electronic signature when deleting samples.
l The Web Data Entry homepage fetches updates to Enterprise Manager when
refreshed.
l A new dialog for entering a comment upon sample deletion is added.
General Functionality
l You can save macros in UTF8 encoding through the user-interface.
l PI Asset Framework Data node performance is significantly improved.
l The Command-Line Helper can now be called with statist.exe /help or
statist.exe /h to display all possible Command Line options through the Statistica
Engine.
l When running workspaces with folder outputs, Statistica Engine can now save macro
objects.
l WriteYaml is available for Dictionary Objects, which supports saving and loading to
or from Yaml strings.
l Messaging is enhanced for PI Event Frame node, opening offline enterprise
documents during SDMS migration, Statistica Data Functions, general interface, and
Boosted Trees analysis.
l A new variable (VN) is introduced across the platform to refer to the last input
variable. Similarly, VN1 refers to the second to last input variable, and so on.
l The RequireSignatureOnDelete option in web.config has been added. If the option
is set to true, the user is prompted to enter his/her signature. Note that the
RequireApprovalOnDelete option takes precedence over this new option, meaning

A number of lower-level support libraries are updated to their latest versions.
Changes in Functionality
The following functionality and features have been changed in this release of TIBCO
Statistica®.
Servers
TIBCO Statistica® Server products are compatible with Windows Server 2022 and SQL
Server 2022.
Statistica Service
TIBCO Statistica® Service and statistica-engine are updated to a later version of Spotfire
service-core.
Note: Customers must continue to follow the terms and conditions in the
purchase agreement.
Session Viewer
The Concurrent License Manager for all CNET and Enterprise users is replaced with Session
Viewer. With Session Viewer, you can view the number of active sessions and displays a
summary grid of all active Statistica Enterprise sessions.
Deprecated Features
The following features have been deprecated as of this release of TIBCO Statistica®.
Tip: For deprecated features, if relevant, useful alternatives are listed. Any use of
a deprecated feature should be discontinued because it might be removed in a
future release. To avoid becoming dependent on deprecated features, ensure
that you become familiar with the suggested alternative features.
Key Summary
Statistica Deep Statistica Deep Learning Nodes were removed from Statistica 14.0.0
Learning Nodes but all Deep Learning Nodes were available for users to work with on
the ribbon bar. Now, Statistica Deep Learning Nodes are removed from
the ribbon bar as well.
Network Analytics The Network Analytics functionality (server and services) has been
deprecated and removed.
Desktop Data Entry Desktop Data Entry was deprecated in Statistica 13.4, but the installer
contained Desktop Data Entry. All files related to Desktop Data Entry
have been deprecated and removed.
Data Visualization Statistica Visualization Designer was previously retired in 14.0.0. All
Designer and remaining Statistica Data Visualization Designer and DataWatch-related
DataWatch components have been deprecated and removed.

No features have been removed in this release of TIBCO Statistica®.

sample after saving and completing the sample in Blind
Data Entry.
STAT-11497 The V14 SPC charts with the alarming node experiences poor
performance compared to the V13 node.

STAT-11343 You are not able to select variable with special characters in
Stacking or Subset nodes version 14.
STAT-11299 The MAS service fails to start the installer when the database
is not upgraded to version 14.
Note: SPC Charts Node - After the fix, numeric axis labels
that are based on spreadsheet values now show to the
number of decimal places displayed in the spreadsheet.
STAT-11270 R Node fails for datasets having text data in time format.

STAT-11190 When you update the old samples to a new version of Data
Entry Setups, the following error message is displayed:
STAT-11182 When you update to the latest Data Entry Setup in Statistica
13.5, multiple pieces get deleted.
STAT-11127 When using the latest approved version for a sample, The
Data Entry Setup in Statistica 13.5 displays the Index out
of range error message.
STAT-11124 Issues with SPC Alarming node are not being written to the
database when parameter name contains a quote (').
STAT-11113 The PI Event Frames Data dialog does not retain the
previous search criteria.

STAT-11102 When you run Statistica data function from web player and
when the web player does not update the output data table
from Statistica data functions, the web player displays the
following error message:

STAT-11055 Users are unable to view the reports with the user having
the Web Viewer(WVWR) Permission.
STAT-11036 The Stratified sample N value is not saved in the user view
for Random Sample Filtering.
STAT-11009 When you create data configuration from data entry setup,
the following error message is displayed:
STAT-10980 When using SVB Data configuration, the data should not be
truncated.
STAT-10969 You are not able to access variable specification through the
API of the Variable Format/Rename node.

rules violation.
STAT-10874 Statistica crashes when you generate over 500 graphs in the
workbook.
STAT-10872 When you use Copy down in the Merge variable, you receive
an access violation.
