New Features
The following features have been added in this release of TIBCO Statistica®.

Analysis
l With Statistica 14.1.0, you can now view configurable display of decimal precision in
the output graph of control charts.
l An example workspace which demonstrates an approach of writing custom code to
implement Laney P Charts is added.
l Spreadsheet.ValueAsDateTime() is added to accompany IsDate/IsTime Spreadsheet
properties.
l In the PI Event Frames Search node, the following new checkboxes have been
introduced:
o Combined Event Frames: When selected, the character asterisk (*) is used in the
Event Frame output.
o Include Children Event Frame: When selected, the Event Frames list adds all
children event frames, even when the child event frame does not belong to the
search query.

Statistica Enterprise
l Objects in Statistica Enterprise can be approved more than once if there are multiple
users or multiple approval types required.
l Enhanced security precautions are implemented in an Enterprise API.
l Improved logging in Enterprise data extraction.
l You can now copy the Enterprise path to clipboard from the Enterprise Explorer
menu without needing to launch Enterprise Manager.
l Additional information from Object Summary is displayed on the Data Entry object
report.
l Support for StartTLS is added and can be configured for Statistica Enterprise emails.

Statistica Service
With Statistica Service, you can now optimize the default Python engine when running
stat.exe.

Data Entry
l A new option can be enabled in Data Entry to configure any IMR characteristic to
have variable sample sizes.
l Performance improvements for system view upon initial user login.
l In addition to having a second user provide an approval for sample deletions, you
also can require an electronic signature when deleting samples.
l The Web Data Entry homepage fetches updates to Enterprise Manager when
refreshed.
l A new dialog for entering a comment upon sample deletion is added.

General Functionality
l You can save macros in UTF8 encoding through the user-interface.
l PI Asset Framework Data node performance is significantly improved.
l The Command-Line Helper can now be called with statist.exe /help or
statist.exe /h to display all possible Command Line options through the Statistica
Engine.
l When running workspaces with folder outputs, Statistica Engine can now save macro
objects.
l WriteYaml is available for Dictionary Objects, which supports saving and loading to
or from Yaml strings.
l Messaging is enhanced for PI Event Frame node, opening offline enterprise
documents during SDMS migration, Statistica Data Functions, general interface, and
Boosted Trees analysis.
l A new variable (VN) is introduced across the platform to refer to the last input
variable. Similarly, VN1 refers to the second to last input variable, and so on.
l The RequireSignatureOnDelete option in web.config has been added. If the option
is set to true, the user is prompted to enter his/her signature. Note that the
RequireApprovalOnDelete option takes precedence over this new option, meaning

the new option affects only when RequireApprovalOnDelete is false.

Library Upgrade
A number of lower-level support libraries are updated to their latest versions.

Changes in Functionality
The following functionality and features have been changed in this release of TIBCO
Statistica®.

Open-Source Data Languages

TIBCO Statistica® is tested to support Python versions 3.8 or later and R version 4.2.2.
The COMadaptR package on TRAN has also been updated to work with R version 4.0 or
later.

Servers
TIBCO Statistica® Server products are compatible with Windows Server 2022 and SQL
Server 2022.

Statistica Service
TIBCO Statistica® Service and statistica-engine are updated to a later version of Spotfire
service-core.

Statistica Licensing Server

Software-enforced licensing is removed.

Note: Customers must continue to follow the terms and conditions in the
purchase agreement.

Session Viewer
The Concurrent License Manager for all CNET and Enterprise users is replaced with Session
Viewer. With Session Viewer, you can view the number of active sessions and displays a
summary grid of all active Statistica Enterprise sessions.

Deprecated Features
The following features have been deprecated as of this release of TIBCO Statistica®.

Tip: For deprecated features, if relevant, useful alternatives are listed. Any use of
a deprecated feature should be discontinued because it might be removed in a
future release. To avoid becoming dependent on deprecated features, ensure
that you become familiar with the suggested alternative features.

Key Summary

Statistica Deep Statistica Deep Learning Nodes were removed from Statistica 14.0.0
Learning Nodes but all Deep Learning Nodes were available for users to work with on
the ribbon bar. Now, Statistica Deep Learning Nodes are removed from
the ribbon bar as well.

EntLite/Enterprise EntLite/Enterprise oData Service has been removed.

oData Service

Network Analytics The Network Analytics functionality (server and services) has been
deprecated and removed.

Desktop Data Entry Desktop Data Entry was deprecated in Statistica 13.4, but the installer
contained Desktop Data Entry. All files related to Desktop Data Entry
have been deprecated and removed.

Data Visualization Statistica Visualization Designer was previously retired in 14.0.0. All
Designer and remaining Statistica Data Visualization Designer and DataWatch-related
DataWatch components have been deprecated and removed.

STAT-11666 If System default database connection is different from the

Source database connection, the migration utility displays
the following error message:

the database were not treated as double values when

Statistica extension, Spotfire Analyst 11.8 crashes.

STAT-11343 You are not able to select variable with special characters in
Stacking or Subset nodes version 14.

STAT-11339 The matching sample icon disappears for unmatched

samples in Statistica 14.0.

STAT-11314 The Correlation Matrices node for variables with pipe

characters incorrectly reports square matrix for two-list
variables.

STAT-11302 In a Data Entry code, a data approver should not be able to

revise or edit data which is already approved.

STAT-11299 The MAS service fails to start the installer when the database
is not upgraded to version 14.

STAT-11275 TIBCO Statistica removes trailing zeros from the output

graph of control charts.

Note: SPC Charts Node - After the fix, numeric axis labels
that are based on spreadsheet values now show to the
number of decimal places displayed in the spreadsheet.

STAT-11270 R Node fails for datasets having text data in time format.

STAT-11211 SPCChart is unable to get a subset when a parameter

contains a double quote (").

STAT-11199 After changing the charge type to individual or moving

range, Data Entry does not enforce only one piece data.

STAT-11198 When editing Enterprise Workspace and when all Versioning

checkboxes are cleared, the dialog prompting to enter a
change reason still pops up.

STAT-11190 When you update the old samples to a new version of Data
Entry Setups, the following error message is displayed:

English while user sets the browser to French.

STAT-11124 Issues with SPC Alarming node are not being written to the
database when parameter name contains a quote (').

STAT-11113 The PI Event Frames Data dialog does not retain the
previous search criteria.

it is not dependent on the piece label type in the data entry

STAT-10576 SDMS Approval comments are missing in place versioning.

STAT-10568 Statistica server engine is not available with Spotfire server

version 11.1.0.

STAT-10564 The PI Asset Framework workspace node does not perform

the following expected actions:

Known Issues
The following issues exist in this release of TIBCO Statistica®.

Key Summary and Workaround

STAT-11742 Summary: R Integration cannot be enabled automatically.

Workaround:

1. On the machine where you want to enable R

integration, launch R as an administrator. Run the
following command:

install.packages("COMadaptR", repos =
"https://tran.tibco.com/statistica",
type = "win.binary")

2. Run the following command to query and note the

installation directory for COMadaptR package.

find.packages("COMadaptR")

3. Open a command prompt (cmd.exe) with the

administrator privileges and go to the directory in
which the COMadaptR package is installed. Example:

cd "c:\Program Files\R\R-
3.6.1\library\COMadaptR"

4. Register the 32-bit and 64-bit COMadaptR servers

using the following commands:

libs\i386\COMadaptR.exe/regserver
libs\x64\COMadaptR.exe/regserver

STAT-11674 Summary: In WebStatistica, when you create an Enterprise

Report with any Analysis, the generated URL in the PDF file
does not contain 'webstatistica'.

Workaround: None.

STAT-11611 Summary: The number of clusters in Getting Help >

Statistica Examples > Data Mining > Generalized EM and
k-Means Cluster Analysis does not currently match the
product documentation.

STAT-11610 Summary: The weight numbers are missing from the

Example 1: Actuarial Life Table table in the Statistica
Examples > Survival tab for the Japanese version.

STAT-11027 Summary: The R node execution for a large input

spreadsheet fails with the following error message:

How to Contact TIBCO Support

Get an overview of TIBCO Support. You can contact TIBCO Support in the following ways:
l For accessing the Support Knowledge Base and getting personalized content about
products you are interested in, visit the TIBCO Support website.
l For creating a Support case, you must have a valid maintenance or support contract
with TIBCO. You also need a user name and password to log in to TIBCO Support
website. If you do not have a user name, you can request one by clicking Register on
the website.

How to Join TIBCO Community

TIBCO Community is the official channel for TIBCO customers, partners, and employee
subject matter experts to share and access their collective experience. TIBCO Community
offers access to Q&A forums, product wikis, and best practices. It also offers access to
