Chapter 3: Methodology
Research Design

◦ The researcher used Qualitative Research Type.

Respondents of the Study

◦ The respondents of this Study are five (5) senior high school students.

Sampling Technique

◦ This study used Convenience Sampling because of accessibility of the respondents .

Research Instruments

◦ This study used Structured Interview because the researcher prepared and organized the questions.

◦ Served as manual or guide to the researcher to achieve accurate and precise answer.

◦ The researcher prepared an interview-questionnaire to be answered by the respondents.

◦ After gathering all the information gathered, the researcher will have a realization or a conclusion

Chapter 4: Presentation, Analysis and
Interpretations of Data.
SoP #1. What is the perception of the selected senior high school students in the said
program?
◦ All of the respondents agreed to the implementation of the program given that it can enhance their
abilities in both physical and social skills or capabilities.

SoP #2. Do they think there is a benefit in the ROTC?


◦ Leadership has the most common answer mentioned by the respondents as they would say that
ROTC can make the Filipino citizens to be more patronized since they are thought on how to focus as a
leader and protect themselves, as well as the people around them.
SoP #3. What are the positive/negative effect of the implementation of ROTC?
◦ As said by the respondent A, she recommends that it should be implemented when a student
starts their high school education and that it should be both for male and female.
◦ Respondents B, C and D, mentioned that when the program was already implemented they should
make sure that the students would be able to learn to use their skills in terms of protection and not to
harm others.
◦ Giving direct service is the suggestion respondent E would like to happen when the program was
already approved.
◦ According to Respondent E, Reserve Officer Training Corps should also be implemented as a
subject in the school for the students to have knowledge to the said program.

Conclusion and Recommendations.
Summary of the Findings
◦ The focus of this study was to determined the perception of the senior high school students on the
implementation of mandatory ROTC. The researcher’s findings are as follows.
What is the perception of the selected senior high school students in the said program?

Senior high school students agree on the implementation of Mandatory ROTC. Aside from the gathered
data, every senior high school student has their own perspective. As the research goes along the researcher
respect their own perception.
Do they think there is a benefit in the ROTC?

Leadership has the most common answer by the respondents as they would say that ROTC can make the
Filipino citizens to be more patronized since they are thought on how to focus as a leader and protect
themselves, as well as the people around them.
What are the positive/negative effect of the implementation of ROTC?

Each respondent has their own perspectives. They said that ROTC can make Filipino citizens to
be more patronized since they are taught on how to focus as a leader and protect themselves, as
well as the people around them.

A said by the respondent A, she recommends that it should be implemented when a student start
their high school education and that it should be both for male and female.

The respondents mentioned that when the program was already implemented they should
make sure that the students would be able to learn to use their skills in terms of protection and not
to harm others.

Giving direct service is the suggestion respondent E would like to happen when the program
was already approved.

According to Respondent E, Reserve Officer Training Corps should also be implemented as a subject
in the school for the students to have knowledge to the said program.
Conclusion
Senior High School should be able to learn to use their skills in terms of protection and not to
harm others.

The Senior High School students agreed on the implementation of mandatory ROTC but some
students mentioned that ROTC must not be mandatory.

The Senior High School of Philippine Pasay Chung Hua Academy said that the ROTC can make
Filipino to be more patronized since they will go through on how to focus as a leader and
protect themselves, as well as the people around them.
Recommendation
It should be implemented when a student starts their high school education and that it should
be both for male and female.

If the program was already implemented they should make sure that the students would be
able to learn to use their skills in terms of protection and not to harm others.

Reserve Officer Training Corps should also be implemented as a subject in the school for the
students to have knowledge to the said program.
