VAIKOM MUHAMMAD BASHEER


Vaikom Muhammad Basheer was a writer of Malayalam literature.
He was born on 21 January 1908 and died on 5 July 1994.
He is popularly referred to as Beypore Sulthan.
He was a writer, humanist, freedom fighter, novelist, and short story writer.
He is noted for his path-breaking, down-to-earth style of writing that made him
equally popular among literary critics as well as the common man.
The major literary contributions of this artistic genius include Pathummayude
Aadu, Balyakalasakhi, Mathilukal, Premalekhanam, Anargha Nimisham and so forth.

ABHISHEK AGRAWAL
Abhishek Agrawal is a first-generation entrepreneur, columnist,
speaker and an author. Born on 16 July 1991, in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh
, India, he did his schooling till class 10th from Rajkumar College,
Raipur and completed his high schooling from Krishna Public
School Bhilai. He did his graduation in B.com from St. Thomas
College Bhilai. After completing his graduation he moved to
Mumbai to become a Scriptwriter and a film director and there
he is pursuing his master's degree from Mithibai College,Mumbai.
Abhishek is the author of two best selling novels ' (2011) and ForGetting The Unforgettable (2013). Both the books have
remained best sellers since their release. He is the youngest author from the state to have won two national awards
and the author of two bestselling novels.
Kamala Das
Kamala Das, Malayalam pen name Madhavikutty, Muslim name Kamala Surayya,
(born March 31, 1934,
Thrissur, Malabar Coast [now in Kerala], British India—died May 31, 2009, Pune,
India), Indian author
who wrote openly and frankly about female sexual desire and the experience of
being an Indian woman.
Das was part of a generation of Indian writers whose work centred on personal
rather than colonial experiences,
and her short stories, poetry, memoirs, and essays brought her respect and
notoriety in equal measures.
Das wrote both in English (mostly poetry) and, under the pen name Madhavikutty
in the Malayalam language of southern India.

Das was born into a high-status family. Her mother, Nalapat Balamani Amma, was a well-known poet,
and her father, V.M. Nair, was an automobile company executive and a journalist. She grew up in what is now Kerala and
in Calcutta(now Kolkata), where her father worked. She began writing poetry when she was a child. When she was
15 years old, she married Madhava Das, a banking executive many years her senior, and they moved to Bombay
(now Mumbai).Das had three sons and did her writing at night.

Das’s poetry collections included Summer in Calcutta (1965),


The Descendants (1967), and The Old Playhouse, and Other Poems (1973).
Subsequent English-language works included the novel Alphabet of Lust (1976) and the short stories
“A Doll for the Child Prostitute” (1977) and “Padmavati the Harlot” (1992). Notable among her many
Malayalam works were the short-story collection Thanuppu (1967; “Cold”) and the memoir Balyakalasmaranakal
(1987; “Memories of Childhood”). Perhaps her best-known work was an autobiography, which first appeared
as a series of columns in the weekly Malayalanadu, then in Malayalam as Ente Katha (1973), and finally in
English as My Story (1976).A shockingly intimate work, it came to be regarded as a classic. In later life Das said
that parts of the book were fictional.

Dr. Khubchand Baghel Samman
The whole life of Dr. Khubchand Baghel was dedicated to the welfare of society and farmers and for various creative works.
You were born on July 19, 1900 in Pathri village in Raipur district. Father's name was Jodhavan Prasad and mother's name
was Kekati Bai. Your primary education was in the village and high school in Raipur. After passing medical examination from
Nagpur in 1925, he was employed as an Assistant Medical Officer.
From the time of study in Nagpur, you have been actively involved in the national movement by being influenced by the
national ideology. Impressed by Mahatma Gandhi, he went to villages and villages and campaigned for non-cooperation
movement. During the Salt Satyagraha in 1930, after leaving government jobs, he joined the movement. For the third time
in 1940, the personal satyagraha went to jail. In the Quit India Movement in 1942, you were again sentenced to
two and a half years of rigorous imprisonment. Because of Congress differences in 1951, Acharya Kripalani's farmer joined
the Mazdoor Party.

You were elected to the Legislative Assembly in 1951 and remained a member till 1962. In 1967 you were elected to the
Rajya Sabha. Despite being a doctor from the business, you have continued to work for the advancement of agriculture and
farmers. You were the inspiration and leader of many tribal-peasant movements of Chhattisgarh. You have made
unprecedented efforts towards developing agriculture as an industry equivalent. For the separate Chhattisgarh state,
you are constantly engaged in the wake of the people.
Chakkupuryil RadhaKrishnan

Chakkupurayil Radhakrishnan was born on 15 February 1939 in Chamravattam


(a village in Tirur) in Malappuram district) to Parappur Madathil Madhavan Nair and
Chakkupurayil Janaki Amma.

Radhakrishnan wrote his first novel Nizhalppadukal at the age of 21 in 1959 while
pursuing his post graduate degree. The book was initially published serially in a
magazine and later published by Current Books in 1962. The book became a runaway
hit and was the winner of Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1962.
In July 2014, Radhakrishnan was awarded the Moortidevi Award for the year 2013 for
his novel Theekkadal Kadanhu Thirumadhuram

Radhakrishnan was editor of the Malayalam magazine Piravi published by the School
of Bhagavad Gita. He was the former chief editor of Madhyamam Daily from
16 August 1999 to 1 September 2001.
