When you apply for a position (job) you
may be invited for an interview. This
means that you are being considered for
the job. It now depends on how well you
come across in the job interview. Here are
a few tips:
TIPS FOR A JOB INTERVIEW
Find out everything you can about the company you
are applying to. Nowadays, one can find out just
about everything on the Internet.
Prepare. Think of possible questions you might be
asked and prepare answers.
Be completely honest. You must prove that you are
trustworthy.
Stay calm.
Maintain eye contact.
Before the interview is over, make quite sure that
you know what you will be expected to do if you get
the work.
Remember to thank the interviewers for having given
you the opportunity of meeting them.
TIPS FOR THE REAL SITUATION
It is a fact of life that people make up their
minds about us within the first few minutes
of meeting us. You have one chance. See
that you create a good impression. You can
do this by dressing neatly.
If you are lucky enough to be given an
interview, accept the date and time that the
employer suggests no matter how difficult it
may be to rearrange your schedule.
Go alone. It is unprofessional to arrive with a
friend or family member
