- 3. What is A.I The study of computer system that attempt to model and apply the intelligence of human mind. A branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers. The capability of a machine to imitate human behavior.

Early history • In 1950 an English mathematician Alan Turing wrote a landmark paper titled “computing machinery and intelligence” that asked the question “can machines think?” Further work came out of a 1956 workshop Dartmouth sponsored by john McCarthy. In the proposal for the workshop ho coined the phrase a “study of artificial intelligence.”

Conclusion • Finally we can say that the artificial intelligence (A.I) is the intelligence of machine and the branch of computer Science that aims to create it. • Artificial intelligence textbooks define the fields as “ THE STUDY AND DESING OF INTELLIGENT AGENTS” where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives it’s environment and takes action that minimize the chances of it’s success. John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1955, defines it as “THE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING OF MAKING INTELLIGENT MACHINES.”
