Technology has become deeply integrated into the lives of 21st century students and holds potential benefits for education. Students are immersed in technology from a young age and see it very differently than previous generations. When used effectively in the classroom, technology can engage students through visual stimulation, allow collaboration through tools like interactive whiteboards and social networking, and provide access to online resources. While budgets are tight, administrators should empower teachers to leverage new technologies in order to continue improving learning opportunities for students.
