This paper discusses the development of a low-cost, real-time landslide monitoring and warning system in mountainous regions of Vietnam, focusing on wireless sensor networks (WSN) and compressed sensing technology to optimize data transmission while conserving power. The implemented system integrates various sensors to detect soil moisture, temperature, and accelerations, and uses Zigbee for wireless communication to relay data to a server for analysis and immediate alerts. This solution aims to enhance the accuracy and reliability of landslide predictions and timely warnings, addressing shortcomings in existing meteorological forecasting methods.
