I am a teacher in training, who started their journey in 2020 with the University of Johannesburg majoring in IsiZulu and History for Senior phase and FET. Having to adapt and work with what was given in the past few years has shown me that nothing is impossible if you put your mind in it. Of course it does not happen in one day, which is why I want to be a teacher that advocates for change in how education is framed. I want to help my learners to explore their metacognitive abilities, and be comfortable to create creative spaces and be aware that each and every ability and strength of theirs matters.
