Systems Integrator, June 1993 - January 1994 Configured PC/Mac/Unix workstations for turn-key distributed ERP/ISO 9000 system using SUN/Oracle DB backend with links to IBM VM mainframe for EDI linking multiple companies and sites. • Wrote OS integration and menu scripts for clients like ARCO Oil refineries, Bechtel engineering, federal and state government, and entertainment giants like Walt Disney Imagineering, and Paramount. • Led the installation teams to disable old PCs, clear them, and deliver turn-key workstations. One of the first clients I worked for was Walt Disney Imagineering, and they kept calling me back, to work on AS400 and UNIX / Oracle integration projects. LAN Systems Programmer, Jan. 1988 - May 1990 Wrote applications for federal contractor to FAA. Held secret clearance and ran airway crashsimulations. • Wrote facility HVAC, light, phone, building schedule and maintenance databases and reportsystems. Several systems were standardized and distributed across the US and Canada.Some were in use for 10 years. • First functional, coherent airway facilities design helped standardize airports and FAA service facilities. I consider this an importantexperience,because itpushed standards into an area that never had them before. • Tape DR Specialist managed tape backup vendor logistics for distributed FAA radar tape backups. Tape backups tracked primaryand secondaryradars from entire California westcoast. Jan. 1980 – April 1982 • CPM computer assistant for a new Kaypro II computer dealer in the Central Valley. When I moved to Fresno to go to school,I worked for one of the first storefrontrepresentatives and distributors for the Kaypro II series of CPM computers. Prior to DOS, prior to the IBM PC, the Kaypro II was the top business oriented micro-computer. • Installed CPM, programmed in compiled BASIC, setup modems and bulletin boards and ran the shop while going full time to college.
