The Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera & Ballet Theatre is one of the oldest in Russia. It was opened in 1912. Since that first night, the troupe of the theatre has always been praised as one of the best in Russia. The repertoire includes about 40 operas and ballets. Among them are Russian and European classics. Many famous Russian artists performed on its stage. The theatre has cultural relations with Italy, Germany, the US, the UK, etc.
